Spoken like the arrogant atheist you are, thanks for provin my point. I knew you was gon come back wit that wack ass "your'e too stupid to dissect my post" argument, so predictable its pathetic. I could do the whole back n forth shit wit that long ass post of yours but it wastes too much time, and like I said earlier in this thread there's no point in arguin wit atheists cause they too dumb and stuck up to admit when they wrong like you clearly are.

Trying to bring the opposing school of thought down to the level of yours in order to make your claim seem more plausible. Wouldn't surprise me if you think "intelligent design" should be taught in school science classses in the interest of "fairness". If one point of view is clearly superior to another by virtue of being based on fact then it is completely ridiculous to act like they are equal

posting a vid doesn't mean I automatically agree with anybody featured in it, chief

that black lady on that show stays saying dumb shit because she has the same "well its still faith even tho its science" point of view that you seem to have

faith in evidence is superior to faith in superstition

Well what made me lose my faith was just a realization that:

    1. I only believed in god because i was raised that way and social pressures.
    2. And when i went off to college, the evidence that god didn't exist became way more apparent. Ive always been naturally skeptical, but admittedly was to influenced to try and look for logical answers to my questions about theology. Or I was too ignorant to postulate a question whose answer would satisfy my curiosity.

College (or really just leaving your folks house) is often time when most people renounce their faith because you no longer have parental influence/pressure to believe.

But that's really just how i came to be an atheist. With some people, tragedy is a huge motivator (if a god exists, why'd he allow this? which despite what xtians may say is a very good question). Or disillusionment with the church. It really varies from person to person.

Really, I equate losing faith as "waking up from the Matrix". The clues that shit isn't what it seems, that your being lied to and used are there, its just a matter of realizing it and choosing to face reality.

And as for what would it take for me to think a diety exists? Good question, because pretty much any impossible thing that could be done, I might just attribute it to "impossible shit being done" rather than saying "holy crap...A GOD EXISTS!!".

Calling something a god is a tall order because your saying that this being is worthy of worship and devotion. And really even if a being did create me and all of creation, does that entitle it to devotion, especially considering no one asked to be created?

About 11-12 years ago I did a song that I'm thinking about remaking called "Didn't ask to be here". It was basically an analysis of the worldly bullshit that we bring new life into then expect them to be ok w/ it once they are here. Many children are born into and raised in situations that make death seem like a vacation in the Bahamas. The bolded comes to mind when I think back on that song because I've asked the same question myself. For arguments sake, let's say that there is irrefutable evidence that God does exist. Given the world that we live in, all of it's painful imperfections and it's volatile history....why worship a being that either directly or indirectly promotes and allows for such a violent & chaotic existence......all in his/her name? How does one's followers rationalize this in their own minds? Is bad stuff really ok just because it's the will of a higher diety? Nothing in the history of mankind has been so divisive and overrun w/ violence and death as a room full of individuals w/ differing religious beliefs. Even believers of the same faith fight over their own individual interpretations of the same book. You don't have to be a scientist or a well versed theologean to realize that there are pieces missing to both sides of the argument....some more than others IMO. Even the Geico caveman can understand that. The problem is and will always be arrogant, misinformed, overzealous, extremist who wish to spread their brand of belief to the world by any means necessary. There is only 1 thing that is fact and that is that no one will truly know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the answer until it's too late.

Pac - I'm probably wrong but I'll never know it til' I'm gone.

Maybe it's a reference to the primary creationist argument of "Although evolution is an observable biological process, since the complete methodology of every form of biological evolution that occurred in the past is not yet known; it's obvious that some form of magical being is the creator of all organisms.".

    Wait--that's not a good argument.

    Damn.

That kind of sums up the foolishness of the "If we came from monkeys, why we still got monkeys?" argument.

Excluding the fact that "monkeys" is being used incorrectly.

ok, so scientists have been able to gather data and images n all that from places of the universe lightyears away from where we at right now. as much as they have seen, all da diff planets n black holes n other galaxies n crazy shit happenin out there, there is only ONE place (EARTH) that holds life. the earth was made perfect so that humans can live and breathe. no other planet, not even the moon, is a place where ANY living thing can walk on and find food, water, and basically survive. not ONE other place other than the earth we live on. while u on ur computer or goin to school or work theres fuckin black holes suckin up matter, stars explodin and comets clashin sumwhere out there this very moment, yet we're the only motherfuckers out here wit internet and buildings and government and life and death and debates about a higher being.

u tellin me this earth was made so perfect as to create an atmosphere for life that no other place in existence can create, where nature works so perfectly to keep things in rotation between humans, animals, creatures and insects, where you and I have a conscience, and a brain, the ability to tell right from wrong, where the rest of infinite existence has nothing close to this....and u claim it is all chance? that this shit just happened by accident? that the universe created itself, then created the solar system, then created a perfect earth which created human beings with consciences and minds and brains???????

fuck all the talk and past discussions, really ask urself and really think about this shit, u tellin me out of all the infinite space out there with no other signs of life in trillions of lightyears of sight, we just formed for no reason just because?

i mean, u might think what u wanna think about christians' God, muslims' God, and any other god in every other religion, but throw all that out the window for a minute, the arguments atheists make, the arguments diff sects of same religions make, the arguments everyone makes, the shit u dont agree wit n think.....u REALLY think there isnt SOME kind of higher power that created us in the midst of all that shit out there????????????

u dont believe in God, but u believe in random unseen forces causing changes by itself whenever it so chooses. yall contradictin urself
