The Big 12 does not exist without Texas. The other 9 schools all look incredibly weak after last year's courting of Texas. Oklahoma, A&M, Texas Tech, and all the other schools just ride their coattails. Each of the other members should include a Longhorn's insignia on their school logos.

Basically. They haven't been a real threat since the Eric Crouch days, lol. They might do well in the Big 10 tho. Big 10 got a lot of "history" but history don't win games. The "big names" in the Big 10 all have major problems this year. Wisconsin is actually the real beast especially considering Ohio State's off-field issues. And Michigan.... Well, ya know.

Texas Big 12 record last year: 2-6


They were 3-1 against non-Big 12 teams. Yeah, they should go. Maybe they'll have a winning season again sometime soon-er. lol

And that's the only reason they were being courted. No one dared trying to get any of the TOP teams in ANY conference. They only went after shaky programs that were either losing or have failed in their current conference in recent years.

Yeah, but my point is that Texas WAS Michigan from like '86 to '97. The other Texas schools are coming up as well as programs like Ok-State and Mizzou.

The only programs I'm afraid of in the Big 12 right now are Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. They've put together some strong recruiting classes and programs.

Texas has been much worse than what Michigan is now. Michigan actually had a few good recruiting classes the last couple of years. There were seasons in the 80s and 90s where Texas looked like a ju-co. And played in the garbage ass SWC conference, lol.

ESPN gets props for gassing up Texas fans getting them to pay extra money for shit that they can already see for free. Every college team has local networks that show all kinds of inside shit that can be seen on basic cable or satellite if they live out of state. ABC/ESPN for the win.

I watched the Bob Stoops show and EVERY Oklahoma game the whole time I was in ATL (12 years). Not by using PPV either. Just by turning the channel to FOX SPORTS SW/Oklahoma on Direct TV. Shit was like channel 515 or some shit. Didn't cost a penny.
