If you only own console then why the 360 version is better shouldn't matter at all. Bayonetta is an above average game on the ps3. Faults or not.

Agreed, but I won't support a company for doing a half assed job. I'll wait till the price drops. Its not like there's a shortage of games to be played right about now.

Its not just that the 360 version is better. The reviewers said the problems are very noticeable and annoying.

Well there was a rumor that a sony team was going to fix bayonetta but so far nothing so that rumor must've been false

Ps3 runs at 30 fps and still have slowdown, 360 version runs at 60 fps
Ps3 version looks washed out compared to 360 and loads a lot more

I was mad hyped for this game. I'm playing through it now. I have to say, the story...is dumb as fuck. Which is even worse because the cut scenes go on forever. If you follow all that shit, the game drags on. Its really slows down all the action drastically. The first couple of levels are cool...especially the demo level, but can get stale. As the game progresses though they because more imaginative and you start to understand the hype and praise this game is getting. The boss battles are epic as well.

buy defiantly. cause a 2nd playthrough is a must to be able to unlock all the powers and earn more money to buy special powers. the money you earn from playthru one carries over to ur next playthru.

i bought it, dont regret it..great game, brought back stylish hack n slash..overthe top game but it does it perfectly.

like the poster above me said..if u have a 360, then dont settle for anything less than the 360 version

if u only have a ps3, then rent it. i wouldnt buy it on ps3 , but the game is so good that i would hate for anyone to miss out on the experience...

and if u like it on ps3 after renting it, then decide to buy it....

Japan PS3 version soon gets a patch to install the game, fixing the loading problems. It can be safe to assume it will be coming for US too.

Is it good? yes.

Enough to make me buy this broken ass game? no. Losing 30 fps is unforgivable IMO.

PS3 Version of Bayonetta Getting Update

Not all multi-platform games are the same. Take SEGA's Bayonetta, for example.

One complaint from PS3 players have been that Bayonetta has long loading times. This upload will offer the option to install the game directly on the PS3's hard disc drive. The Japanese update will include an "Install" option in the game's menu screen.

It is possible to install Bayonetta, as with every Xbox 360 title, directly onto the Xbox 360's HDD. However, the Xbox 360 version of Bayonetta does not offer players this option directly through the game's menu screen.

The update will be available starting January 28.

While the Xbox 360 version of Bayonetta received better reviews, the PS3 version outsold the Xbox 360 version in Japan.

- Took about 15 minutes to install.

- Size of the install is 4.5 GB.

- Difference when pausing / accessing the pause menu / skipping cutscenes is huge. As opposed to 2-4 seconds to bring up the menu, it now pops up in about half a sec.

- Picking up an item is instant, the info screen pops up immediately.

- No framerate improvements whatsoever.

- General load times are vastly shorter. Takes about 10 seconds less to load new areas than without the patch.

- As a results to shortened load times, the game is actually a tiny bit more difficult, and noticeably more quick paced. The enemies pop up instantly when you access their areas, and even seem a tiny bit more aggressive.

played the demo...

game seems kinda easy, simply jus gotta mash triangle and circle and u pull off some amazing combos...

didnt really see the problems people in this thread are speaking of in the demo, game looks fine to me...

how tough n how long is this game tho ?...
