LOL yeah champ but at least I was "thuggin" when I was checking for chicks like that. how can you call yourself a "hood" nigga if you never had no love for the "hood" chicks. And I'm reformed today, but I can't front like the hoodrats don't identify me in public places......I have to give effort all the time to not regress LMAO
Thhis thread made my head hurt. I mean for real like I can seriously feel the heat coming off my skin. Got me amp'd like a muthafucka. Typing all hard and shit. lol

LOL @ you Bird catching feelings cause this new generation lost......and people wonder why shit is all messed up now

SMH @ mofos looking down on gender roles like they want their man to tell them "it's their week to cut the grass" cause we equals. same females who killed chivarly cause they want the privilege of being treated like a lady but not the responsibility SMH

naw dawg.. she bout right with that analogy...

it's a very simple gesture of endearment....a woman making a plate for a man, is one of the little things that help create a bond.. it can seem extremely insignificant on the outside, but it's little shit like that, that will speak volumes for the level of the relationship....

another woman making u a plate, is exactly like that...

    This^^^

Like say, I know my man doesnt like any kind of bean near his mashed potatoes. And he like his corn over his rice. THose are things I know about him because we bond and these are things he's told me in our conversations.

I dont want another woman to get to know my man on that kind of level. THose arent thing you just run into a party with food and announce. Those are things I know about him because we are a couple.

    lmao at the subliminals.

traditional to older people.. that's cool..
but i'm not doing.. because i can't find a solid reason to fix him a plate, when he can easily do it himself.
shit, i would do it on his bday.. but religiously ?? nope.

and it depends who is fixing him a plate.. but nobody should have to.

Fixing a man a plate has now become a chore which requires a special request to be put in and only to be performed on what some deem as significant days??
To each their very own but are you implying that if you were to cook your man a meal, you couldn't fix his plate because he too has hands?

    don't be like that..

doing things out of spite, just because u don't want to conform, when u know damn well doing them would be an appriciated gesture can really send the wrong signs....

it's the little things ppl do for you that lets u know how much they care.. if u refuse to do the little things.....ur just pretty much planting the seed that u don't really give a fuck about him

    ohh emm gee.lol

by point is... it's not mandatory
i'm sure it would be nice to take out food for him all the time...
    but shit is not mandatory.

OMG! my mom too, she changes the dining set and linen with seasons LOL

she even has matching teapots to correspond with linen lol

our moms are the same in that regard

This a funny ass thread. In my fam, the women have always made the plates for their man no matter what the event is. Some people never see it growing up so they don't understand. Some people just take it more seriously than others.

it's not mandatory? ur not getting it are you??

look at it like school... do you want to do just mandatory and get a C on your relationship..

or do you want to work hard, go above and beyond, and work for that A?

because if you're only doing what's mandatory ur only going to get that back.. and what's the point of a C relationship??

[/b]and it depends who is fixing him a plate.. but nobody should have to.[/B]

This is where you have it confused and quite twisted.
Where has anyone that does this for their man say they HAVE to do this? None of us had made it seem like a tedious chore that is expected, we do this because we WANT to. It is our desire to take a mere moment of our time to do for our man without the feeling of expectation hanging over our heads.

We are very well aware that a man has the capability of standing on his own two feet and taking care of himself and this is why they are in most our lives, because they are able to do so all while giving us women the room to do for them without screaming out "independence". This does not make a man lazy or incompetent, this makes him a man of a woman who allows him to be a man and one who allows her to be a woman. If in her eyes she feels to do for him out of a genuine place from her heart, then she should do so without being labeled "old fashioned" and dependent of gender roles.
