Do you believe anything will take place as predicted by the Mayans and Nostradamus?

If so, why?

If not, why?

I find it interesting that the Mayans and Nostra. have came to the same conclusion for earth. Many people say, we'll Nostra. picked it up off of the Mayan prediction so that's how he came to that as well. I haven't heard about anything that Nosta. read about the Mayans so I believe what he predicts is some what legit.

@ DoUWant2 before you say something like God say no one knows the time, not even the angels or the Son of God knows the time of the end of the world or the coming of Jesus. Understand this isn't about KNOWING, it's about predicting. It doesn't state no one can predict.

either way, no, i dont think the world will end...people of every generation have had certain dates in which they thought the world would end

I am 99% convinced that something is going down. Not the end of the world, but the end of this way of life that had consumed this planet like a virus. Shit is already popping off as we speak, it's just that people would rather watch some kardashian nonsense rather than research what's currently taking place all over the entire world. People thought nothing was gonna happen in 2000-2001. But 9/11 happened, and it effected the entire globe.

The mayans did not predict the end of the Earth, their calander predicted cycles of life based around zodiac signs. All the calender ending ment was the end of one cycle and that a new cycle will begin. Some take that as an end to earth. I take it as an end to Earth as we know it, I think a new time of peace and conciousness will arise. Their are many cultures outside of the Maya who have predicted this time period as a time of change. That change could possibly mean nothing more than us coming to a realization that we are going to destroy the world if we don't change, the mind becoming concious of our impact on our enviorment and us starting to change that. The cycles always ended when the planets aligned, they have aligned many times in the past already with nothing happening, the only thing you could say has happened was after each time we had an ice age period or mini ice age (This is most logical to happen if something does imo).

If the world will end on 2012 which I honestly dont believe at all so be it. I would not worry about dying I would honestly be more intrigued as to how people predicted this. If it does end in 2012, the ancient alien theory at the point to me would really really have credit to it. I dont see how they could have predicted something so extreme without some sort of future knowledge. For the world to end it would have to take something more than just the planet alignment they predicted, to me the solar rays, global warming, etc.. that would also play a part could not have been predicted just by watching the sky in ancient times.

They say that the solar flares are getting stronger and more violent with each cycle, so that this cycle has the possibility to be very strong and destroy crops, electronic signals etc. Then just eventually a chain reaction leading to our deaths, which in the bible says that fire will rain down from the skies so who knows?

If it isn't literal that the earth will end, which I know it won't, then it's the rise (IMO!) of the Anti Christ.

2012 will be Obama's end of Presidency, a new one will come into play (or the same one) so around this time politics will be flying around, we'll see though. This whole, NWO thing could come into play. Something that could/would change civilization forever.

They say that but how do they know? Yes it is science but at the same time, there is no way to have recorded solar flares prior to the early to mid 1900s. How is it they know for a fact that solar flares are now at their strongest point? I guess for someone who believes in the bibles dramatic ending it may seem scary. But from what I have read and understood it means more of a change into peace and harmony with each other and with nature and doesnt really point to anything bad happening. The new school people are the ones who have put all the bad spins onto it. Also we have recorded solar flares just as bad as there will be in 2012, the reason some scientist are worried about these is because they believe the Earths atmosphere is damaged because of Global warming and they think we may have holes in it. This is why I don't believe in anyone predicting the end or the beggining of end times, because at that time, even up until the 1970's nad 80's we werent aware of global warming and had no idea what impact we were causing. For someone to predict the end they would have had to had knowledge global warming would take place and open up the Earths shield, they would have known of increased solar flare activity, and they would have had to known of planet alignment. I do know they knew when planets would align all together, I dont think they could have factored in the others though, there was no knowledge it even existed.

I truly believe something of great significance will take place during the year 2012... in fact Nasa has documented statements that state that there are going to be strong solar storms around 2012 that could possible be detrimental to the magnetic field; it may cause polar shifts or affect electronic forms of communication. On another note, all this bs about the world coming to an end is just all propaganda (being pushed and promoted by channels such as the history channel and discovery channel); half truths mixed with half lies to keep the public in fear.


As another poster stated, it will be the end of the world as we know. Maybe the societal, political or economical structure may suffer a drastic change or maybe they all may change, only time will tell.

Thats an interesting theory sir. By the way I've watched the Ancient Aliens program before, they present some pretty strong evidence in regards to there being intelligent Alien life form in the universe.

Yea I seen it. There's better theories than that though, most of that show was based off Chariots of the gods, and Von Daniken has been proven wrong a good bit of times in what he wrote.Thats my thoughts though, if the world does end in 2012 there is no doubt in my mind that people from other galaxies came to this planet to advance us and warned us of what will happen. Perhaps it is the time when they return to check on us? Who knows. Alot of the bible can be attributed to ancient aliens and acually when you put the two together it makes alot more sense then the two do seperate. Few examples were "angels" mating with humans, I find it startling about the time its claimed to have happened we really started to grow as people. People dont understand why angels would come from Heaven for earth women, well it makes more sense that aliens were here with us and we ended up mating this leading to our minds being way more advanced than anything else here. The flying machines all throughout the bible, made of metal, lights, etc... Every ancient culture has accounts of flying metal machines, would some like god need a vehicle to get here? No. again the alien theory is much easier to explain and seems more realistic.

How do you know that God didn't show this to Nostradamus? Even the Mayans? How can you be proof positive that NOTHING will happen in 2012? Whether that be end of the world (which I know its not) or what if it's some type of change that will change the world forever?

I know it's hypothetical my brother, but why speculate about "what may happen?" The word of God tells us everything we need to know. The future and destiny of the world is all contained in the scriptures. Only God knows the future and only He knows what will take place with 100% accuracy. God says in His word that the last days will be filled with deception beyond what anybody can ever imagine. In fact, God stated that "there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matthew 24:24)

2012 is false prophecy and sadly many are being duped into believing that something will happen. Don't be led astray my brother. Stand on the word of God and its 100% accuracy. Everything that pertains to life and godliness is contained in the word of God. We need to lay hold of it and meditate on it day and night. The Holy Word of God is the only thing that will keep the saints of God focused in the days that lay ahead. It will never lie to us nor will it ever deceive us.

I believe God my brother. He is the author and finisher of my faith. I know that in Him I win. And with me knowing this to be true, I have hitched a ride on His chariot because it is coming and it is coming fast. You will either get on board His chariot or you will get trampled under His chariot. I give glory to God for His goodness. Praise His holy name!


(But if you want signs about the coming of the Lord, look to the heavens. There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. Im currently studying this right now and it's deep. When certain eclipses happen, certain events take place that have to do with the nation of Israel. There are certain eclipses which will be coming in the next few years. No, because time and the calender system is man made. If there is God, only God can dictate when it is time to go. It is like Jehovah's Witnesses, they are on the 20th date of when the world will end. One day they will get it right.

i highly doubt it. if something like that is to happen during our lifetime it wont be something to be predicted by humans
