I was just thinking about this....for a drivers' license you have to take a drivers ed course and/or a written test and a behind the wheel test. For a gun license there's some type of waiting period and a background check if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not close to anyone newly married so I don't know the process, but is there any type of checkup on the couple or do they just pay for the license and that's it? And I'm not talkin about those last second Vegas weddings. I mean a legit wedding.
Seems like too many marriages have failed to not make sure people are at least semi compatible.

As long as you pay your money for the license, the State could give no fuck if you are compatible or not. That's between the two persons signing on the line.
