Just took my routing hands on for class got a 90... did route maps ebgp set up with attribute changes...redistribution all that shit was hard (II)... def gotta prep for CCNP whenever i feel ready but i got a ton of material ... and taking CCNA helped me understand how i need to prep.
Not only that I'm 99% sure redistribution will be on there as well (the v3 blueprint talks about route filtering, which typically is done with route maps). And if redistribution is on there, RTBH might be on there as well.
On the real, I feel like I have to learn everything on the R&S exam to make sure I'm ready for the Security exam.
Fuck you Cisco
just linked up with this other CCIE who consults. Nigga got 2 CCIE's. I'm picking his brain and passing the info along

LOL might as well hit the R&S track with me then first.

Redistribution is in the CCNP, not CCNA. Key thing to remember is to make sure you use the correct metrics to convert to.
@King good look on that link. That's definitely gonna come in handy.
@Valdez, please believe I'm going for the R&S too. Ain't no way in hell I'm gonna go through all this bullshit and not get every cert I can. If I can do the Security by August, I'm gonna try to knock out the R&S by the end of the year.

I plan on going this route also. My wife is a programmer and her schedule is regular 8 hour day time. Hell most programmers I know are like this. I guess I am being picky but I dont see myself doing any night time shifts. I am still going to do my comptia certs just becuase I can have the military pay for them but in the end. Programming will be my end goal.
If you have your A+ its not too difficult. Just make sure you learn a lot about client support stuff. Windows XP/7, basic Active Directory and Exchange, and Office Suite.
or a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): SQL Server 2008, Database Development. The cert I believe will go to SQL 2012 in August. I have downloaded that book to but I will not touch it until I read all the others.
I have turned my objectives into going for Data Analyst positions with some security. I plan on building a two-fold portfolio. Database and security.
