Arc System Works just announced that they are bringing Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network with online play.

This being announced shortly after the announcement for the update to the arcade version of the game.

Its also coming to Japanese arcades for the 1st time, it has borders on the arcade machine because the original is 4:3 and the arcade machines are 16:9 widescreen

I have a major concern...the way certain character's offense work anything more than 2 frames of delay will severely skew character's strengths. This game WILL need godlike GGPO-esque netcode.

I'd like to think that if blazblue is an indicator of what to expect than this game should be in good hands because the netcode for bb is godlike. I remember playing reload on pc many years back with no problem also. But seeing as this game wasn't build from the ground up with online in mind the way bb was, there is a chance they'll miss the mark I think. I trust it will be good though.

Well lets take for example throw tech in BB...10 frame window, thats a huge gap, in GG it is only 2 frames...same thing for slashback (gg's version of parry)...I can't imagine pulling either of those off without GGPO's rollback feature. So many of the overhead's in GG border on the line of being able to react to or not. With added delay character's that shouldn't have 50/50 mixups could have them online. That could be disastrous.

Looks like a total reblance, game will be modified to compensate for lag is what a lot people are guessing, looks like there will be a legit GG fighter for next gen consoles finally
