for the last 7 years, people have debated if the 03 draft deserved to be put up on the GOAT draft classes that include 84 (Hakeem, MJ, Barkley) and 96 (Kobe, nash, Ray-Ray, AI) but its now time to acknowledge that 2008 class crushes that 2003 draft and in time will be on the level of 1984 and 1996. Check out the top 10 (IMO) from each and then speak on it

    2003 draft:
    Lebron
    Wade
    Bosh
    Melo
    mo williams
    Chris kaman
    David West
    Kirk Hinrich
    tj ford
    Michael Pietrus

    2008 draft
    Rose
    Westbrook
    K Love
    Ibaka
    Roy Hibbert
    OJ Mayo
    Danillo Gallanari
    Eric Gordon
    Brook Lopez
    DeAndre Jordan

    brook is shit
    dandre is shit
    eric gordon = mo williams
    chris kaman > roy hibbert
david west > serge ibaka (so far, but i like ibaka's jumper)
    oj mayo is mad sometimesy
gallinari might be suttin but the jury is still out as to whether he'll be more than a role player

so you pretty much only got rose, westbrook and kevin love vs lebron wade bosh and melo
with the exception of rose i don't think any of them dudes are drafted ahead of those 4

lmao gtfoh wit the bolded man

brook lopez has either been injured or avg 17 and 7 rebounds per game
i guess that mediocre line isn't shit *mind you he's on the nets as a second option, some games 1st

dandre jordan is dj mbenga that can speak english
oh my fault his averages of 5 pts 6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks isn't shit. those are all star numbers. fuck outta here with niggaz buyin into that lob city marketing campaign

    roy hibbert
    Career 278 24.0 4.5-9.3 .480 0.0-0.0 .273 2.1-2.9 .724 6.2 1.6 1.6 0.4 3.2 1.7 11.0

    chris kaman
    Career 532 29.7 4.9-10.1 .482 0.0-0.0 .000 2.1-2.9 .740 8.3 1.4 1.4 0.5 2.9 2.3 11.9

umm statistically they are similar but the edge does go to kaman.
or is this somehow impossible to digest cuz hes a balding white boy?

i'll take the argument that eric gordon is better than mo williams but they pretty much play the same role on whatever team they are on.

eric gordon has more potential yeah but hasn't done much more

How you gonna use stats as your reason for someone being better if the stats are similar despite one player still getting better and the other player maxing out his potential....

It doesn't make any sense does it? And Kaman has played 200+ games more

    In terms of franchise players..

    In terms of overall depth..
    08>>>

    no sign

03 had 2 franchise players and they play together making them one

so 08 class got more franchise players

So Bosh and Melo are not top 5 players at their position, and didn't lead their team to P/O runs?

I know right. These dudes know damn well if you put all the players from '03 and '08 in a draft pool, damn near all the top dudes in '03 gettin' drafted before EVERYONE in '08.

Really OP? Really? You talking out of your ass right now.
  • Niggas on the i.c. really have trouble with reading comprehension. No one is arguing that the 03' players are better than the 08' players at the top. But the 08' class has more depth, period....

'08 *might* beat '03 in a actually game. But '03 would win a 7-game series.

But I'm sure 08 would win in a poll right now simply because they're younger and the new "flavors of the month" whereas we've seen the '03 cats ball for damn near a decade and we've all formed solid (and stubborn) opinions about them. Some of which are personal.

not true, only player that would completely go number one is Lebron. I think if you polled all 30 GM n coaches that rose and wade would be a toss up for the 2nd pick. and Love would go b4 Bosh. westbrook and Melo is also ALOT closer than people think. the 2 draft classes r close.....very close

Just compare the 03's accomplishments through 3 years to the 08' class.

I aint doin that shit though lol
  • 1.LeBron
    2.Wade
    3. Rose
    4. Love
    5. Bosh
    6. Melo
    7. Westbrook
    8. Roy Hibbert
    9. OJ Mayo
    10. Eric Gordon

That would be the order of the draft TODAY
had this draft happened with 06-07 results (1st 4 years for 03 draft) then compare i cant say that 03 wouldnt have the first 5 picks
