I wanna see usc offense vs Bama, LSU, or UGA.

    *Fixed.

Let's stop actin' like the whole conference is filled with the 2000 Ravens defense, bruh.

And even those three programs ain't guaranteed to put the same quality on the field year after year.

I was trying to be nice but you right

I'm just going to sit back and wait for malice to come and talk about how people are disrespecting the chickens

'Cause I'm starting to hear people in the media say the same shit about the XII offensively - and as a fan of a team that actually has a potent offense - I get offended. 'Cause the majority of the B-XII schools ain't shit compared to us.

Just look at my sig. lol.

I just want this talk to end one way or another

Either the sec is overrated or the rest of y'all niggas suck

OU or usc is going to settle this shit once and for all

I don't know about the other stuff, there is no way anyone can say the SEC has been overrated.

I just think niggas are offending their own squads when they "share the wealth" with 8 other average ass programs.

Is your team good because they're in the SEC, or because they're just good? Don't know why someone would pick the former.

People that know college football history knows that the media and poll-voters always nutt-hug a certain conference in different eras. This is just the SEC's turn to get their nuts hugged. There is no "SEC defense" or "Big XII offense".

In fact, to play devil's advocate, you could argue that Big XII offenses are "potent" because the defenses are average, and SEC Defenses are "stout" because their offenses are garbage (word to the fifty yard line, lol.)

Even tho Okey lite's offense is a bootleg version of ours -- Fuck them. They ain't us and we ain't them, and I hope they fuck around and get shut out by a Division II team and don't even get past the 50 yard line on some lsu shit. lol

    @greenwood1921

Can we get a little respect. We had the #3 defense in the nation last year and #5 year before that. Just a little.

    A little. Maybe. lol

And I'd also suggest to anyone with $3 to spare, that they should go in iTunes and download the new Friday Night Lights book, where the author catches up with Boobie Miles and other coaches, players, etc...its a great read for anyone who enjoyed the movie/original book.

Talk about taking a tumble before the draft. Vontaze Burfict stay losing out chea.
According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict and Virginia Tech cornerback JayRon Hosley have flunked drug tests of their own.

Glazer writes that Hosley wrote a letter to teams apologizing for the transgression. For Burfict, though, this is just another black mark against him that could keep him from getting drafted at all.

    Vontaze Burfict --
"I'm truly blessed just to be in the position that I'm in right now. If I don't get drafted then I will have to go back to school, but I love football so much that I won't give up on football. But I will go back to school and finish up my schooling and stuff like that and probably go somewhere else like Arena football or something but hopefully I make it to the NFL.”

From a First round lock at the beginning of the college season to pondering an Arena League Career. I ain't never seen a Loss this bad.

I wouldn't mind my squad taking a chance on that nigga if he doesn't get drafted

At least 10 teams will invite him to camp.

Drafting a player guarantees a certain contract amount, he's not worth any commitment so teams will try to snag him at a rookie FA rate.
  • College FB playoff getting closer....
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Football Bowl Subdivision conference commissioners, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick and other college football officials Thursday agreed to eliminate eight-team and 16-team playoff proposals to determine the sport's future national champions, but settled on very little else during weeklong meetings at a beachside resort here.

After meetings Thursday, BCS spokesman Bill Hancock said the sport's 11 FBS conference commissioners would take "two to seven" playoff proposals -- each involving four teams -- back to their respective university presidents, athletic directors and coaches to discuss for the next five to seven weeks.

BCS officials and conference commissioners are scheduled to meet in Chicago again in June.

The proposed changes wouldn't go into effect until the 2014 season. The current BCS system, in which the top two teams in the final BCS standings play in a national championship game at the site of one of the current BCS bowls (Fiesta, Orange, Rose and Sugar), will remain in place the next two seasons.

    A statement released Thursday read:

"As part of our deliberations, we have carefully considered a number of concepts concerning the postseason structure for the BCS. From the start, we set out to protect college football's unique regular season which we see as the best regular season in sports. We are also mindful of the bowl tradition and seek to create a structure that continues to reward student-athletes with meaningful bowl appearances.

"Having carefully reviewed calendars and schedules, we believe that either an eight-team or a 16-team playoff would diminish the regular season and harm the bowls. College football's regular season is too important to diminish and we do not believe it's in the best interest of student-athletes, fans, or alumni to harm the regular season. Accordingly, as we proceed to review our options for improving the post-season, we have taken off the table both an eight-team and 16-team playoff."

NCAA to announce sanctions on South Carolina at 2:30. (Whitney Hotel/Boosters) I think the self imposed penalties will be good and don't expect anything crazy. Maybe a few more scholarships lost but that should be good.

    Thanks Weslye Saunders.

NCAA announces no further penalties to South Carolina other than the self imposed. NCAA states South Carolina "exceeded the standard" in cooperation with NCAA.

No post season bowl ban. No vacated wins.

Spurrier always runs a clean program and I'm sure that helped. The AD Eric Hyman did a great job in this matter. Time to focus on dominating the SEC now.

    Go Gamecocks!

Here is what South Carolina got. Pretty much all self imposed. We got off easy on this one. Could have been worse since we were deemed "repeat offenders" from the Holtz days.
    Public reprimand and censure.
Three years of probation from April 27, 2012, through April 26, 2015.
Reduction of total football scholarships by three (from 85 maximum) during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years.
Reduction of initial football scholarships by three (from the 25 maximum) during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years (self-imposed by the university).
$18,500 fine (self-imposed by the university).
Indefinite disassociation of both involved boosters and the local hotel (self-imposed by the university).
Limit of 30 official visits in football (from the 56 maximum) for the 2012-13 academic year (self-imposed by the university).
Limit of 50 official visits in men’s and women’s track and field (from unlimited maximum) for the 2012-13 academic year (self-imposed by the university).
Suspension of the head track coach during the 2012 Penn Relays (self-imposed by the university).
An assistant men’s basketball coach was withheld from recruiting in December 2011 (self-imposed by the university).
An assistant football coach was withheld from off campus recruiting during January 2012 (self-imposed by the university).
