Eat fruits when sick, oranges are good. Gotta fight off infection then eat kale, broccoli, watermelon, banana, garlic (a lot of it) and blah blah blah...
It fights it off and if you keep consuming these things in a healthy way (no other shitty foods/drinks) then you're likely to not be sick. Also, juicing these things is better. Look up shit to juice and it gives you all the nutrients faster.
I usually just get a blanket and smoke weed. Ive been sick more times this year than i have in forever. and this happens to be the year i got a flu shot. son of a bitch. i swear my nose has been stuffy since january.
Taking Vit C once youre already sick is a myth. Your body can alony absorb so much Vit C at one time, once your sicking taking a whole bunch is pretty much pointless. It needs to be taken as a preventative not a cure.
I take vitamin C, B, & Iron daily b/c prevention is the best cure. And c/s whoever said sweat it out. Exercise is a good option or turn on the heat in the bathroom, run a hot bath, then close the door until ur ready to stop the water. Shit is like a sauna. 10-15 mins should do u good.
Sadly as my man said there's no way around the common cold the key is not to get sick to begin with but regardless I'll post some shit my grandmother use to do for us when we were kids:
- Take a bottle of white rum, boil some ginger root and mix the juice from the ginger with some lemon juice. Then pour it into a bottle of Jamaican white rum (Appleton is fine). Just take a shot of that when you have a fever or soar throat and in 2 hours time that shit is gone.
- Other good stuff ginger and lemon juice (never mind OJ, im tellin yall lemon juice is the way). Try taking a teaspoon of Spirulina with ur water. Google that shit up, makes ur immune system 10 times stronger. Tastes terrible but it works.
- Another one too that I swear to God is ridiculously slept on. Drink lots of water, on average ur body needs 3 litres of water a day but when ur sick ur body needs about 3 times that amount. Water filters out the body and although you may have to piss 24/7 afterwards I can bet ur cold - whether its the flu or w/e it is will be gone in 2-3 days.
- get a lot of sleep, ur body believe it or not runs like a machine - it knows that past 10pm to tire down and relax thats why sometimes when ur sick u feel sicker at night or in the morning than during the day. It's also the time that ur immune system is down. If ur working too much and sleeping too late it strains the body, lowers ur immune system and makes u more prone to getting sick. Make sure u get a lot of sleep and u can actually avoid getting sick altogether.
