I mean ten years ago I was a junkie, me being from the midwest but still being hit off with PCutta/KaYSlaY/Clue/Rocefella/DiPloMaT Mixtapes everyday (literally) in my Highschool Hallways was unheard of.... Me walking the HS hallways with atleast 2 xxl/source magazines was also unusual (in my area)....

I mean I actually lived for the game it was my passion, I was the only dude that I knew of that would actually take time to hear out memph bleek freestyles and listen to the unknowns who were on mixtapes....

u know the game is cruddy and just flagrant when a dude like myself who used to go thru whole mixtapes and listen to underlings like "Littles" and "illagee" from the mobb deep circle won't even take the time out to glance at most of the product being offered today .....

Honestly as of right now I can say I give two F%@Ks about the game ....

go go is always my true musical love but i still got love for hip hop. that's why I'm here in the reason. I'm not as caught up in certain things in hip hop that I used to be when i was younger. like who is the realest and shit like that. it's like you get older and you see through the bullshit and gimmicks and strictly focus on the music.

Put it this way, i use to buy 2 albums a week before illegal downloading was popular. Now music is easilly accessible and free yet i don't even download it. smh

I have my rappers that i check for and they are generally people i grew up on. I will always support Outkast, Jay, Nas, Kanye, Dre,etc because i know i'll get quality. As for the new dudes aside from J Cole, Krit, Kendrick, Jay E, i don't give two shits about these new rappers.

The only thing i'm tired of other than the actual music right now and some of the artists is the way fans resonate and the way they think. I honestly believe that hip-hop by far has some of the dumbest fans out there out of any genre. It comes down to reasons why they pick a favorite rapper, reason they debate, the way they aint able to use common sense, the way they judge music and artists and much more. All of that has made me tired of the culture but i still listen to the music especially the older music.

If its on the radio/TV chances are i dont enjoy it. Since i was 14 i was always on hip hop sites following the underground. 22 now and still loving it. Very few mainstream artists ill listen to.

Word. That's real talk though and you can see it all over. On the very rarely do i see a hip-hop fan with just common sense it's always either or, and as much as niggas like to clown around on these forums it's mostly on the forums you see some of the more sane fans even though alot of mfs like to play clowns and do that alias/shock post shit.

When i had more time cuh i was just like you, i would bring the hip hop mags and was known getting off the newest underground artist with my lil bootleg mixtapes. It was a culture for sure

I think now we just not young anymore, the culture is different for them (the kids)
