- A three-way WWE Tag Team Title match with Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs. Titus O'Neil and Darren Young vs. Primo and Epico may end up on the WWE SummerSlam card. Other matches possible for the show in less than two weeks are The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title and Damien Sandow vs. Brodus Clay.
WWE reportedly has a strong final angle being saved for next week's RAW that is supposed to be the difference maker in the build to SummerSlam.
- Brock Lesnar is currently booked for every RAW show through August 20th in Fresno, California.
- Chris Jericho will be working on his third book once he takes time off from WWE again. His departure is said to be imminent.
WWE will air the Wade Barrett vignettes on RAW and SmackDown until the SummerSlam pay-per-view is over. Barrett will then return to WWE TV. Barrett is currently on tour with the SmackDown brand in Japan.
Barrett's return to the ring was delayed several times. Originally, WWE officials wanted to bring him back at Money in the Bank, have him win a World Heavyweight Title shot and then either begin to chase for the title or actually capture it at SummerSlam.
With that said, Barrett is in line for a run with one of WWE's major singles titles.
- A group in Connecticut called Moms Opposing McMahon has held a rally and released material online speaking out against Linda McMahon and WWE as she campaigns for the US Senate. MOM is mainly speaking out against WWE's edgy TV in the past. WWE responded:
"All WWE broadcast programming is TV-PG, rated not by us, but by the standards and practices departments of our TV network distributors, while the majority of today's prime time programming is rated TV-14. Five million women watch WWE's weekly TV programming, representing nearly 40 percent of our TV audience. Women would not be watching if they found our programming objectionable."
- Daniel Bryan noted in several media interviews that his inspiration for the "YES!" chants was UFC fighter Diego Sanchez. In a new interview with MMAFighting.com, Sanchez says Bryan is supporting him in a way and he has his back. Diego expressed interest in working with Bryan as his team has reached out to Bryan's people. Sanchez said:
"My team has reached out to them and we'll see what happens. We both are the 'Yes' men and if we could help each other that's what it's about. It's about that positivity and motivating yourself to do things you could never do when unmotivated."
- As Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was answering fan questions on Twitter Sunday afternoon, WWE Champion CM Punk tweeted a picture of a CM Punk action figure standing over a Johnson action figure that had been knocked out by the GTS. Johnson responded, "You knocked by delivering a GTS. I'll answer by delivering the ass kicking of a lifetime. @WWE Championship #Rumble2013 #RockTalk."
Johnson announced at Raw 1,000 that he would face whoever the WWE Champion is at the Royal Rumble. A match between Johnson and Punk, however, may not take place at the pay-per-view event. It was reported last week that WWE officials are contemplating a scenario where Punk drops the WWE Championship to John Cena at SummerSlam to set up a rematch between Cena and Johnson at Royal Rumble. Johnson would then defeat Cena at the Rumble and defend the title against Punk at WrestleMania XXIX.
- Ric Flair appeared at ICP’s Gathering of the Juggalos over the weekend, hosting the main stage of music acts. Flair’s appearance was cut short after he was hit with a water bottle thrown from the crowd. Flair then decided that he wouldn’t be going back in front of the crowd. twnpnews.com/2012/08/flair-hit-with-bottle-at-icp-gathering-jbl-talking-with-wwe-more/
Vince was mad about Pipers pit, word is he was yelling into Coles headset screaming " this stinks", they're saying not to expect a Pipers Pit again (or for a long time).

Backstage News from the RAW Talent Meeting - What Was Said, Feelings on Not Speaking Out
- As noted before, a talent meeting was held before Monday's RAW. Word is that nobody really spoke up after everything that was said backstage last week.
Talents were told to use common sense in all dealings, mainly when it comes to social media. They were outright told that any kind of xenophobic comments or racial remarks will not be tolerated. It was also pushed that the company is PG programming. The idea is that anything anyone says that wouldn't be in good taste to children should not be said. Officials didn't use those exact words but that was the message sent.
Regarding nobody speaking out, the feeling was that whatever problems there could have been from the talents, are all quelled because the top guys are happy with their positions and aren't going to make waves, and the bottom guys can only lose their jobs if they were to speak out. With AW being fired, most felt that it wasn't worth the risk to say anything that would come across as complaining.
PWInsider confirms that there was a recent settlement between WWE and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) which allows WWE to use their old WWF logo on footage. WWE made some kind of payment to the World Wildlife Fund. WWE is allowed to use the WWF logo and say WWF over footage as long as it is old footage. For example, WWE couldn't have a Legend come out on RAW next week, cut a promo and talk about how he used to hold the WWF Title and wrestle on WWF pay-per-views.
PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE TOTAL PACKAGE LEX LUGER one of my favorite wrestlers in the early 90's and one of the greatest US CHAMP, i used to slap torture rack on my little brother.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was escorted from the Staples Center, the site of tonight’s WWE Summerslam pay-per-view event after he “flipped the bird” on-screen, prior to the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match, which main evented the show.
Durst co-operated with those who escorted him from the building, however many feel following his actions, he probably won’t be seen on WWE television/pay-per-view alongside other celebrities anytime soon. wrestling-news.net/durst-thrown-wwe-summerslam-ppv/14552/
Whilst Josh Mathews sells the injury sustained by Kane at SummerSlam, Teddy Long will join Michael Cole at the announce table for this week’s Smackdown.
Possible reasoning behind Jack Swagger being buried
According to a few sources, Jack Swagger has backstage heat on him due to a number of failed marijuana tests. WWE does not suspend talents for failing marijuana tests, they just get issued with a $2,500 fine per offence.
This possibly explains why Swagger has been buried on WWE TV over the past several months.
