Knicks need to run an offense like the triangle where Melo ain't dominating the ball and stoping the movement. Problem with the Knicks is not Amare, it's Melo and his lack of ability to impact the game without him dominating the ball. If his lazy ass played defense he could get easy points that way too.

Theres a reason melo has the worst winning playoff percentage of the superstars. All he is is a scorer. It took him 23 shots to get 22 points the other night. The knicks were doin better when they had Stat/Gallo. Melo dominates the ball and he occupys the same space as stat which is why he doesnt get the same looks anymore. Yall forget when stat had a streak of 20 something games with at least 20 and 10 last season before melo came.....

I think Amare was a bitch for recruiting Melo while his team was playing good and having success, if they added Chandler to that squad they would be a real beast in the east, lets not forget Felton was putting up top 5 pg numbers in Dantonis system, Wilson Chandler was a 6 man candidate, Gallo is a borderline all star with a complete game and Amare was putting up mvp type numbers, you add a legit center to that team with mosgov off the bench they would of been a true contender, but New York was thirsty for Melo for some reason, the basketball IQ is pretty low out there.

I thought Amar'e's contract was untouchable. Can't trade him, can't cut him. Can't amnesty him.

Y'all need Phil...and a good point guard. I say fuck Baron AND Lin, and make a run at Nash.

c/s... get phil, if not keep Woody

I thought the Knicks were gonna take out the Heat in 6 bruh, what happened to that WOAT prediction

    BS aside... knicks in 7.

jus last year Amare was a top 5 in the leaugue... i think Phil is the guy for this job. amare n melo remind me of kobe n shaq pre phil.

keep the squad as it is.

So the Bricks are going to win 4 games in a row??? And this nigga had the nerve to say "bs aside" SMH

It was the owner James Dolan who was thirsty for Melo. Donnie Walsh the GM who basically put the knicks in this position and got rid of all of Isiahs fuck ups was ready to wait til the off season for melo to sign without giving up so many assets. Dolan who is widely known for STILL consulting with Isiah after he ruined the team pushed for the trade to happen.

They had to make that trade before the new labor agreement, and everyone in New York besides probably Dantoni wanted them to make that trade.

The fact of the matter is that everybody has overestimated Melo...for whatever reason (mainly the attention/hate Bron has gotten lately) he has been given a pass for perennially underachieving. Just no excuse for not getting to the WCF at least once.

try and trade for boozer (similar dough and worth the risk if you chicago) the knicks get a better shooter who can stay out the lane, win win
try and convince the nets to trade deron williams on a sign and trade
try and sue amare out of his contract and have free agent dough for the summer to go after dwight or d-will (yeah fuckin right, but hey a nigga can dream)

try and sue Amare, lol lol lol
lol u can do that in sports if a player does something to injure himself out of playing shape he's breaking the contract.

There was an article about that today in the New York Times

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/05/sports/basketball/knicks-carmelo-anthony-has-poor-playoff-track-record.html

They have had their misfortune — injuries to Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups in 2011, injuries to Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert in 2012 — but great teams find a way to win. And when they fail, the great players absorb, reflect and rededicate themselves.

Anthony is not the reflective type. He has rarely taken responsibility for his team’s failures, preferring to shift blame toward injuries, coaches or the playbook. But the N.B.A. is a star-driven league, and Anthony — a star by reputation, if not achievement — must eventually confront his own résumé.

no you dont. u get a coach who has the balls to hold melo accountable.... Let NY get healthy next year Lin/JR/Stat/Melo/Chandler/Novak/Fields/Shumpert are a good nucleus. Stat was ballin last year he earned his status. Melo has to be made accountable for defense rebounds and getting the lesser guys good shots along with playing with Amare.

if they want a legitimate shot at winning a ship they do, but if they dont then someone needs to explain to amare that just because his scoring avg has gone down since Melo arrived doesnt mean his rebounds and block shots have to too
