hmm....I think I may see what the threadstarter means strictly from a musical aspect. I won't knock Eminem for his lyrical content against an artist like K.R.I.T because K.R.I.T didn't come into the game as a battle rapping shock emcee, but as a producer there is something that's a little.....off.

But these are just a few examples less than 10 songs compared to most of his songs simply cos Eminem doesn't collab with many Vocalists since his career he has done his own choruses rather than follow the formula of featuring Vocalists like most others Rappers have done. Production wise Eminem doesn't use many Soul Samples cos majority of the time he creates beats with out sampling he actually makes beats from scratch. It is simply sacrificying having Soul in most your Music and being more Artistic he could get RnB Vocalists to feature like most these other Rappers do and he could just use old Soul Samples like other Producers do but he from the start of his career decided he wants to be Artistic and do his own Vocals himself and produce beats with out using a lotta samples.


And it has worked for him since he the highest selling Artist in the genre and has delivered so many Hits using his own formula yet he has still remained humble doing it he doesn't go around disrespecting or looking down on Rappers that get a loada features from RnB/Soul Vocalists like Common, KRIT, Jay Z, Nas etc and tries to say he a great singer cos he sells so much while he actually doing the vocals himself on his songs he himself has said he can't sing yet he likes being Artistic and his fans love it so it works for him cos he providing his listeners with what they like.




Now wether Soul influenced beats or not when KRIT produces tracks like 'LOSE YOURSELF' 'TILL I COLLAPSE' 'THE WAY I AM' 'DON'T COME DOWN' 'I'M SUPPOSE TO DIE' 'WARRIOR'. Just name a few like Eminem has then you can talk. Even if you are the biggest KRIT fan can you honestly with out being non biased name a track he produced like Eminem did as dope and classic as joints like LOSE YOURSELF and TILL I COLLAPSE?

Some of the best Albums like The SSLP, The MMLP, The Eminem Show. Production like on Lose Yourself and Till I Collapse, ability to Write and create any type of Song like Em can from Personal like Rock Bottom to Political like Mosh to Comedy like My Name Is to Street like Soldier.
