If You could start in NBA team today, who would be your starting 5?

I'm not talking about the 5 best players... But 5 players you would personally want on your team.

For me:

C: KG
PF: Chandler
SF: Ibaka
SG: Kobe
PG: Westbrook


Center: KG - might be old, but still quicker than any center in the league not named dwight howard... Has a jumpshot like a 2guard, and a will to win only equaled or surpassed by Kobe Bryant

PF: Tyson Chandler - Yep.. putting chandler at PF instead of center.. Because KG has the speed advantage over centers (and I realize the opposite team can put who they want on kg, but, whatever)... Doesnt need the ball in his hands, EVER, to be effective.. and again, strong will to win.

SF: Serge Ibaka - I actually meant to put a real SF here.. until I forgot how good serge is on defense.. I didn't want to take off chandler.. so serge goes here... Now you have 3 7 footers, all defensive minded, on the front line... 2 of which still have an ok jumpshot (serge / KG).. Serge is young and athletic enough to guard most 3's... Translation: No one is scoring in the paint


SG: Kobe Bryant - A little bit older, but still has a will to win that I personally think is only matched by KG, and also the PG I have on this list... I don't have to say anymore, it's the mamba..


PG: Russell Westbrook - I gain more respect for this dude after everygame... doesnt give a damn what his critics says... And has a warrior mentality... Really doesnt give a fuck who he's playing.. I bet if you put westbrook vs those 80's lakers teams or the 98' bulls, he's still be out there show boating, being a warrior, and thinking he's the best player on the floor. He will shoulder the scoring load with Kobe / KG. Also not to mention, best rebounding poiint guard in the league.




If you notice my theme... I take will to win over anything else... those 5 players are going to bring it every night..


Notice at the 3 especially... No Lebron, No Melo... You don't know if these guys are going to show up.. And I didn't pick durant, because him and kobe would conflict on the offensive end... Plus I'll take Serge's defense over him.

Smh @ ibaka at the 3, a center at the 4 and a pf at the 5, you not picking durant because him and kobe will both want the ball as if westbrook and kobe wouldn't, and not picking Lebron because you don't know if the mvp is going to "show up". This would be a lot harder and relevant if you said "with the salary cap SOMEWHAT involved".

Dwight Howard-May not be the best offensive big man in the game, but w/ Deron Williams as my PG he's going to get alot of easy baskets...Changes the game defensively and is a monster on the boards.

Kevin Love-Post game is solid and can spread the floor w/ his shooting range...Easily the best rebounding forward right now (IMO)

Lebron James-It came down to Lebron or Durant for my small forward, but Lebron is all around a better player than KD...Defense, rebounding, passing, and dominace...Lebron is the best player in the game right now.

Kobe Bryant-Older in years, but he's still one of the top 5 players in the league...Wouldn't have to do as much with Lebron and Dwight on the squad.

Deron Williams-I feel like Deron is the best PG in the league...He's not as explosive as D. Rose or Russ, but I think he's a smarter basketball player than Russ and a better shooter than Rose....Also better shooter than Rondo...CP3 is too small *pause* so I'd take Deron as my starting PG.
