Why should he give up money he's owed and the Lakers promised him? His contracts were structured so the bulk of the money was backloaded...this allowed them to sign Gasol's extension. It worked ya'll got a chip....let the dude get his money now. Lakers shouldnt have no problems with spending on that luxury tax with the amount of money they make.
