Hollywood's Obsession with Ryan Reynolds

What is it about this dude? They had him play the Green Lantern. Did that work? No! Now I know they are very few people on the IC that knows of this franchise and even fewer that may have watched it. But Ryan Reynolds in the new Highlander film? That's fucking disgusting. I've watched the sequel and enjoyed the one with Mario Van Peebles (the third). But Ryan fucking Reynolds? This guy should have stayed buried under ground.

Plus, I don't know why they make a Highlander film now. This can be very generic and just piss poor in today's world. It was good for back then ("There can be only one!") but now? I think its a little late for a Highlander remake.

What's your take on Ryan Reynolds as the role of a "super hero"? Is he cut for the part or should this asshole stick to comedy?

His sarcasm works well in the romantic comedies.. while he isn't an amazing actor I still enjoy most of the action movies he's been in.

When it comes to Green Lantern it was more than him that was wrong about that movie.

hes alright i hated his role in blade trinty. his sarcast wit killed it for me. but he can come thru and be a decent actor. and i like the Amityville Horror movie tho. wasnt great but i enjoyed it. but yea hes alright.

Couldn't take him serious in green lantern. It was like seeing braxton in original gangstas. Like him in comedies though. Saw he has some police/zombie movie lined up. Hoping its a crazy action comedy like Zombieland.

Dude may not be the greatest actor, but he is versatile as fuck. He can go from romantic comedies to suspense to straight action at the drop of a hat. I thought he was funny in Blade 3 and believable in Safe house. Not related to his acting, but dude was knocking down Scarlett Johansson on the regular. Props to that dude!

He was terribly miscast in Green Lantern....Nathon Fillion would have bodied that role. He gets A class roles but he's a B actor....not terrible but not top of his class either.
