Living with parents... Yay or nay

Simple question. What you think about living at home with your folks?

Any reason why it's unacceptable?

Any reason why it's cool to be grown and live with your parents?

Naaaaa. Living alone is way better. Can bring a chick over anytime. Don't have to be quiet when i fuck.

I can smoke in the crib. I can play music loud. I can leave dishes in the sink if i want. I can leave clothes all over the place. I can put up my own pictures and shit instead of gay ass flowers and baskets of fruit.

Their is nothing cool about living with your parents expect it's free.

That's the thing.. It seems like it's acceptable for a woman to live with parents but taboo for a man to do the same..I don't understand that.

I went from my parents house to my own condo no roomate *except my dogs* I couldn't imagine living back at home. @Marvin you know damn well Scarface posters aren't really pictures B.

i know some people who moved back 2-3 yrs back after the economy caught up with them....they were in the IT field and lost their jobs.....but they moved out now.......

The standards are different for everybody. The person who parents got a 20,000 sq. foot house and their parents are loaded doesn't see it the same as the person with 3-4 siblings, parents working hard everyday and everybody tripping over everybody else in the house.

Nay. Living back with your parents is regressive, but life does tend to throw curveballs and monkey wrenches so you never know. Your parents living with you is something different tho

Yeha I've had a 'fuck them niggas' attidude since I was about 16...moved out at 18...had to move back for a few months when I was 20...worst 6 months of my life...Its not even just my mum...all my brothers and my sisters too...and you get used to bein' alone...You don't have to smell anyone else's stank mornin' breath or farts...you kno' exactly what's in the fridge...no muppet usin' up all the hot water...Like previously stated, only sweet thing about livin' at home is that its (near enough) free...Oh and the food

I live on my own and have bin for a while, but life is fucked up and shit happens, I don't knock anyone living at home unless your approaching your 30's or are married etc... I

'm East Indian though and its customary to live with your parents until your married, it was taboo for me to move out when I was 21-22 but whatever to each his own. In some ways it was the best decision I have ever made and in other ways I can see why parents try to keep their kids at home for as long as they can, theirs a lot to learn in this world and even if you think you bin through it all, you haven't. Sometimes its nice to have your family to come home to.
