How defensive/protective are you of your friends?

Not even in a relationship sense but just somebody screws them over in general are you the type to hold that grudge even longer than they do? I'm in the middle of having a conversation with one of my home boys about some shit that happened a LONG time ago and when a certain person's name was brought up my instant reaction was "Fuck that bitch". Mind you this is from some shit that happened years ago and the event didn't even involve me it happened to my friend and they been let the shit go lol, but I'm the type that if you screw over a friend of mine or somebody close to me I'll hold that grudge pretty much until that other person says you get a pass, maybe even longer than that.

I can understand that...and I don't defend one of my friends if they're clearly in the wrong. But at the same time, if you screw one of them over, out of the 5 of us I'm probably the one who'll remember all the details years later and still feel like "Fuck you" if the topic happens to be brought up again.
