A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.




Magic, Lakers Working On 4-Team Dwight Howard Trade Involving 76ers, Nuggets, According To Report

The latest iteration of the ongoing Dwight Howard trade rumor mill now has the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers involving the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers in a four-team scenario, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. The trade proposal has several big names involved, and while nothing is imminent, Wojnarowski reports that the talks "have substance."

Here is the rough breakdown of the proposed blockbuster deal.

The Lakers would receive Howard
The Magic would receive Al Harrington, Arron Afflalo, Nikola Vucevic, and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams
The 76ers would receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson
The Nuggets would receive Andre Iguodala.

There is still much to be discussed, particularly with Bynum and Gasol. Wojnarowski reports that their ultimate destination is "fluid" and could change. The Magic would likely try to flip Gasol to receive more draft picks.

In addition to their four-team trade talks with the Lakers, Sixers and Nuggets, the Magic remain engaged with the Rockets in trade talks for Dwight Howard.

Houston's most recent proposal would be preferable to Orlando than the four-team*proposal*that would include Pau Gasol, Arron Afflalo and Nikola Vucevic, according to a source.

Alex Martins told Sports Illustrated in an interview on Tuesday that the Magic know the type of return they are seeking for Howard and will remain patient.

"We have very specific goals as to what we would hope to achieve if we were to trade Dwight, OK?" said Martins. "We acknowledge and are realistic about the fact that you're never going to get equal value in return for Dwight Howard. But if we were to trade him, we have three primary goals that we're trying to achieve and in the end, any deal that's proposed to us I think we've been very clear about the fact about the goals of what we're trying to achieve.

"We have never delineated from that. Some may think that we have, but we have not. Clearly, when we find the right combination of pieces that we're looking for in return, that will determine whether we make a deal or not."
