There are times when Vick takes a hit for holding on to the ball too long, but that wasn't one of them. I honestly think at this point it can't be a matter of talent at the position. Whatever protections schemes or packages they use are just bad. They have too many instances where a defender makes it through the line as soon as the ball is snapped. Vick is relatively short for a QB. He can't see over the line very well so he has to take more steps back. It's pretty much a necessity that the line give him at least enough time to do that.

I used to hate when Atlanta came up on the schedule knowing we had to deal with him. The d lines are rushing him now like hes just another immobile qb. Wake up Vick.

I don't know about that. I could see if he was getting injured in the same place everytime. So maybe if he had a bad knee injury in the past, he'd be more susceptible to being put out due to knee issues. But Vick is like A.I. in the sense that he's had injuries pretty much everywhere.

It's not all the O Line's fault though. It's basically a case where the protection scheme and QB don't compliment each other. Philly's offense is built for short quick passes. Vick is not the best at reading defenses, so the opposition blitzes more. And he needs to take more steps back for clear vision than the average QB, so plays automatically require a little more time. They really need to come up with a more innovative way of protecting him.

imo vick need to just play his game and not worry about this shit. mcnabb and randall cunningham both started falling off in Philly when they forced a change in their game. normally vick would have spun out like he did and took off up the middle, instead he tried to stay in the pocket and throw and took the hit. theres some shit he gotta work on but that o-line has to do better
