This can be the thread where whatever we read (doesnt have to be a current story arc) can be recommended for the rest of us.

I was just browsing the indie section of the comic store we got here and saw this, It was a frank miller cover that caught my attention. And just the name really haha. Picked it up for shits and gigs and i thought it was pretty cool. Anyone else catch this?



A young boy puts a gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger. The police don’t care. Not about his death or the death of his best friend two months earlier. The dead boy’s mom seeks help from an old flame that’s employed as a detective. What she doesn’t know is that he suffers from acromegaly—a physical deformity resulting in brutish facial features at mid-life. Will his freakish appearance get in the way of solving the case?



Gonna pick up issue 1 this weekend, issue 0 was good. More mature comic.

Newest issue of the hulk. If yall been following the story, Hulk makes Dr. Doom split hulk and banner. Banner goes crazy, hulk kills banner with a bomb. Bomb Fuses banner to hulk and hulk wakes up randomly in different places from bruce banner taking him there. Everything comes full circle in this issue and we find that Bruce isnt insane. Or atleast not anymore, now they are on the same page again and are on their way to take out Dr. Doom. Shits gonna be dope, 3 part arc i beleive.

Well for Bomb Queen it's this villain bitch who got rid of all the heroes in this city and can pretty much do whatever the hell she wants. Like I said though, bitch is just overpowered. Lotta debauchery in that book too. Nudity, death, and hilarity though.

This might have been one of the CRAZIEST comics I've read in a cool minute. It's basically about a dude who is irresistible to women and how it all plays out. Plenty nudity and fucking in this book

Issue was pretty bad ass. Deadshot killed himself by shooting himself in the chest when Regulas was choking him. This issue Joker comes back and poisons the Squad with rain (mixed with a sleeping agent) but harley was immune to it thru the years of being with joker. He then steals Harley from the squad.

Try Kato, or at least the origins of Kato (and the new Kato) shit was crazy.

If you aint familiar with the new batman story, there is a arc called Court of the Owls. They are basically a Illuminati in Gotham city, been around for centuries controlling gotham from behind the scenes. They are very wealthy and have many connections. They have assassins called Talon's that carry out attacks on targets, well trained and experts at stealth. Calvin Rose was one but escaped from their control.

Calvin Rose grew up with an abusive father who locked him in a cage when he was young and left him for dead, calvin broke free and had quite the talent for escaping situations. He joined Haley's Circus as an escape artist and was eventually picked up by the Court and trained.

So far he aint met up with any of the bat family, but the book is written by scott snyder, who is the current writer for batman. series is fucking dope. highly recommend.
