Razor bumps, the black mans struggle!

Am i the only one who can't touch his face with a razor. I use to be able to use clippers but that shit doesn't even work anymore. Ya'll have any remedy for razor bumps, please don't say that Magic shaving shit either, it smells like straight sulfur.

Tip though: (Do this daily after you cut it.) Clean it with rubbing alcohol. Brush the skin with a soft brush.

That shit works most of the time.

thats me all day....i cant use a razor on my face at all....just gotta keep buying new trimmers b/c once they're a little dull, they will never cut you close enough for a pass....

at the same time i've noticed that they can use the real blade on me at the shop and i dont bump up....its gotta be the lather and then the shit they put on afterwards....some sea breeze shit

Yeah, whenever the barbers shave me up, i'm good to go. When i do that shit myself, i fuck around and look like The Thing from Fantastic Four.

U might just have to let the barber shape u up twice a week, and if u must shave just make sure u do it lightly and take ur time with it. I also suggest for you to not re-use the same razor more than 3 times..

This shit stinks but it works..use it after you shave with a razor.. after a while you wont need it anymore..stopped using it 2 years ago and havent needed it since..

i have a coarse beard and use to let my barber use the shape up clippers to shave me; but it never got the closeness i want and i would still bump up..so i went to a raor:

if you are using a cartridge razor or safety razor you have to prep your face first:
- use some face cleanser with warm water, then pat dry your face and i then apply seabreeze to lift the hair a bit
- the wet you face a bit and apply sensitive shaving creaming
- shave with the grain and then if you can do a second pass against the grain
- after you're done; rub you the area you shaved with cold water and apply an after shave balm or bump patrol

i'm about to switch to classic wet shaving though

buy you some quality trimmers and extra blades for the times you do use a razor wrap your face in a hot wash cloth use a mixture of running alcohol and shaving cream

I take a shower and clean my face first with soap and water. Shave down along the grain. Add more shaving cream, then go against the grain for a closer shave. I use Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel for sensitive skin and apply shea butter after. Never used aftershave. I use the Gillette proglide 5 blade razor. You can use jeans or the palm of your hand to keep a razor sharp for months.
