It was bad enough when he messed with our pizza prices. Now, Papa John's CEO John Schnatter is socking it to employees too — and the Twittersphere has responded unkindly. As the pizza mogul announces he will reduce worker hours in light of Obama's re-election, a wave of outrage has erupted online, with some calling for a boycott (though there are a few tweets in support).

Schnatter says it's because Obamacare mandates employees working more than 30 hours a week must be covered by their employer's health insurance plan, so he will have to drop many worker hours to below that. "That's what you do, is you pass on costs," he said, pointing also to his August increase of pizza prices by 11 to 14 cents.

I do have a problem with Papa Johns not selling 1-topping pizzas for $10 over the phone anymore. You have to go online to get a $10 large pizza and its 2 toppings. Everybody doesn't have internet access or a smart phone. Those are the ppl who need the cheaper pizzas the most.

I personally find it ridiculous to pay health benefits for a restaurant employee. They come a dime a dozen and have no important value at all. If one of them gets sick, they can easily be replaced by a 9th grader.
