me too, all I'm saying is that he's a fraction of what he used to be. There's some fans out there that have no idea how much of an innovator he was and that's sad. I would have ranked him higher 3 years ago than I do now, that's all I'm saying.

but in his prime he was one of the most exciting performers to watch imo. the last feud i cared about with rey in it was his IC championship battles with jericho in 2009. they arguably stole the show in 3 straight ppv's

Rey went from top 10, to barely top 40 when the knee injuries started occurring more often.
Plus he takes a hit for having the same wack ass gimmick for the longest.

I mean I think you have to go by region. He has been one of the most successful luchadores in the US. He's problem is that the US - WCW is not a good place for cruiserweight wrestling. So he's been limited to the Underdog gimmick since he's run in the WWE . I think if you look at his whole career wrestling in Japan , Triple A in mexico, wrestling in all the major promotions in the US WCW,ECW,WWE he's had a great run and done pretty much everything you can think of . His WWE run has soured a lot fans including myself but overrated no He's probably the most successful Luchadore since Mil Maracas with none of the heat.

What's fucked up is that the WWE killed the image of a lot of WCW wrestlers by watering them down to shit.

Rey Mysterio was great in WCW but he's kinda trash in WWE. Same goes with Booker T and also they watered down the shit out of Goldberg. It just goes to show the caliber of much better talent that WCW had over WWE.

That whole waiting 5 min, groping niggas pretending to be tired after one dropkick shit is why WWE had some shitty wrestling but GOAT storytellers.

Rey is one of the GOATs bro. He came from doing the lucha shit to mastering the WWE style. He is fat now though, all those roids and knee injuries are catching up with him but dude be legitimately nice since his ECW days. He even carried that chump Miz to a decent match at Summerslam.

He still would have been a much better caliber wrestler had WCW still existed and he stayed. I remember him having the World heavyweight Championship and beating Big Show. His matches with Konan, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit will always be remembered over his WWE days.

Rey GOAT? I'll give you top 50 just because of what he meant to lucha style in America. He was impressive in ECW and in WCW, but I think a lot of his WCW success had to do with Malenko. Malenko's one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, he put Rey over BIG.
