Dont know if this is true or not but i was reading that they are going to bring it back. came across this pic. It is gonna be built on the Cadillac ATS platform. Thats all i found so far.
Man I am rarely if ever a fan of classic cars...but the GNX is just proportioned so well and that grill is ridiculous. Can't be any other colour but black though.
my boy had one. '87, white with orange stripes. We used to call it "Big White".
He lived on the East side of Detroit near Harper and Chalmers. He woke up one morning and his shit was gone. When they found it, it could only be identified by the VIN number on what was left of the dash. It was stripped completely... They even took the glass.
The reason they look alike is because they're based on the same platform, the GM G platform. The Regal, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Cutlass Supreme, and El Camino of the 80's were all G cars and shared the same basic look. Where there was a real difference between them was the front end and the rear of each car, but the Grand Prix and Monte Carlo got a bit extra with their slightly swollen rear fenders.
These are also some of the last GM cars that had engines designed by their respective nameplates. After these, GM resorted to "corporate" engines for the majority of their cars.
