At least most of the albums chosen are either very good or classics. You can argue over who should or shouldn't be on there but I've owned all those albums at some point in my life. Still got some of them somewhere.

im glad the albums made it are actually classics except for SSLP & Carter 3. But i cant expect Rolling Stone to judge hip hop on more than popularity/sales and beats/accessible sounds to outside ears (Pop). They're basically judging by Pop/Rock standards

i also dont care to tinker with the order of someones list. As long as its credible and/or theres nothing crazy on there. I just need to see you have certain albums/artists recognized. After that its preference. if you have Aquemini at #4 and i have it #7 im not gonna fight you or be mad about that

They were spot on with The Slim Shady LP not only a classic but like they them self say 1 of the greatest Albums ever. With out question is better than any Jay Z Album by miles

Not very bad list although they ride Kanye and Jay's dicks hard. Illmatic should be definitely higher and some old school essential recordings are missing, but it's not that bad as I thought. It Takes a Nation wins title again. That's good.

They lost credibility when they said nicki was the queen of rap.

As usual with lists, theirs is subjective, and they left a lot of worthy albums off; but for a rock mag, their rap picks aren't as wack as they could've been.

I would replace SSLP, MMLP, TBA and C3 with It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, Doggystyle, Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Death Certificate..
