Janet Damita Jo Jackson is one of the greatest female entertainers of all time. Back in the day, no one was fucking with Janet--not even Madonna, who was given a run for her money at the height of Janet's career in the late 80s to mid 90s. With over 30 number ones, she remains an icon in the music industry--her style, dance performances, and swag inspiring future generations of pop/rnb singers.

There will always be imitators--but only one Janet.

Control - revolutionized R&B sound, Rhythm Mantion brought another dimension of consciousness to music, Janet. brought sexy back, The Velvet Rope was her most personal manifest, then she came with All For You, another amazing record. Those 5 albums are essential for R&B/pop genre.

The Queen of Pop that's the highest accolade as a performer, and singer that i can give her..and she have classic albums and soulful tracks.

From Control, Rhythm Nation, Janet to Valvet Rope, Janet didnt let no bitches eat or breathe when she dropped she kept them on their toes. Only Whitney was on her heels then it was Maddona and Mariah.....

But let me take yall to 1986 album Control as a young child then, there was some event Records i remember and THIRLLER, PURPLE RAIN or every time Mike Jax or Prince dropped an album was some events.

BUT WHEN CONTROL DROPPED in 1986, it was a NAPALM BOMB for women, i remember my Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, female cousins, older female cousins and every women, teenager female in the spring/summer of 1986 was jamming that album in the house or their cars, you couldnt hide from Control, Control had THE RADIO ON LOCK, when The American Music Awards, Grammys was on and Janet was performing Control they was infront of the t.v.

A great album that moved units the only albums to me that there was a female movement that had the older, younger female crowds like Control was Anita's Baker Rapture, Mary J Blige what's the 41, My Life and anything by Sade, Lauryn Hill's Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston's Whitney Houston Album,
