There's a common misconception when people say to avoid pork as part of a healthy diet because it contains too much staturated fat. while that is true to an extent, there are also lean cuts of pork like pork tenderloin which contains as much fat as skinless chicken breast believe it or not. it has no carbs or fiber. has an excellent amount of protein. and has the usual essential vitamins and minerals

also something else that would be of benefit is to opt for berries and nuts when snacking between meals instead of gorging on chips, cookies, and hot sausages. blueberries, blackberries, butternuts and walnuts are my choices. the blueberries and blackberries because they are rich in antioxidants and butternuts andwalnuts because they are high in omega-3 fats.

simple changes like these can be helpful to someone attempting to switch to a healthier diet. along with other obvious things as well(cutting out fast food, carbonated drinks etc.) like someone mentioned earlier u dont have to spend money on organic products to eat healthy. by making wise decisions and eating smart can be just as effective and less expensive

Last night, my wife told me that one of my crew back in Detroit posted a new pic on FB (they're her friends 'cause I don't have an acct). She showed it to me an ya boy felt like an utter slob. It used to be that I was the slim, fit cat and he was the chubby dude in the crew on that Ceelo tip. Now, he's lookin like I used to.

Shit is over, I'm getting it together by summer. I'mma drop 60lbs by then.
i'm not sure which entity leaves people more abused and lost; the Porn Industry or Bad Boy Records.

This healthy shit drives me crazy though, there's so much "don't do this, do this" kind of shit.

That's because every body is different. None of this stuff is 100% spot on to work guraunteed for every person other than dedication to your protocol(s) of choice.

Gather all the information, figure out which things work for you through trial and error, keep those things and toss the rest.

That sounds about right. Someone made the same suggestion to me that gluten might be one of my enemies, so now that you mentioned also, along with other valuable advice, I'm going to look further into this matter.

    Thanks bro!

    Could be. No prob.

stop thinking about "changing your diet"

and focus on changing your eating habits

That's what I did. I went from eating junk food everyday to probably once a day (cheat day). When I go out to restaurants, I get veges, salads, or mashed potatoes instead french fries for a side. Instead of downing 3 cups of coke or juice in one meal, I drink mostly water. When I get hungry I snack on almonds and yogurt or an apple.

I never really gave up bad food, I just have it less often.

I usually make a smoothie with a lb of strawberries and 3 bananas w a lil apple juice and sip on it all day at work, it keeps me full and away from fast food places at lunch time. I hate fast food anyway

smoothies will change your life. replace that biscuit you get from mcdonalds every morning and invest in a blender. i usually have a protein smoothie for a meal at least once a day, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner.

watch your meal portions and make them smaller. increase the amount of times you eat a day. work out daily.

Is it really that hard to live a healthy lifestyle for people though? To me diet is a little overrated, if you just do athletic shit that's fun and is a part of your lifestyle (play ball everyday, swim, surf, run, walk) then that's half the battle. When you do athletic stuff and live that lifestyle, you automatically start eating healthy.

That's when you have to include the family, instead of sitting in front of the tv when the family gets home why not go for a walk or something.

I'm on my healthy shit too.. Cut out all soda, fast food, fried food, red meat and pork.. Like today I had oatmeal for breakfast, curried chickpeas, an orange and tea for lunch, tuna straight from the can with a lil relish, an orange and applesauce for dinner.. Shit is helping cause I'm getting through my whole workouts (cardio and all) without having to use my asthma inhaler at all.. That's how I always can tell if what I'm doing is working because my asthma stops flaring up.. It's all in the mind though, be strong mentally and you'll get strong physically.. Props to all

Brah it ain't less weight and more reps. Whatever got you the muscle is what will keep it. Just keep you protein and fats up, play with the carbs to keep your macros and overall calories in line with cutting (calorie deficit) and u good. Now because your carbs may take a hit, your energy may take a hit. Try your damnest to at least hit 1 set of every move with your heaviest weight in every workout/body part you work. keep your diet in check, stay focused and you good.

    Good luck.
