They had 2 or 3 episodes on the last season of Martin where Pam was on most of the scenes on her own. She had become an A&R at her new job. I guess the networks weren't feeling that shit and never picked it up.

Pam becomes upset over the fact that she has been recently fired from her former job. Tommy, Cole and Martin stop by Pam's apartment along with their high school buddy Trey Foster who happens to work at a record company called Keep It Real Records as an successful A&R. Trey tells Pam of a job opening for an A&R position. Pam, who has a passion for music, decides to visit Keep It Real Records. While there, she meets Donna, the sassy receptionist, Clyde, the messenger, and Tony the creative director who tries to flirt with Pam. Trey shows up late for work and receives a message from Donna that their boss, CEO Sterling Sweets, wants to see him as soon as possible. Sweets urges Trey to locate new talent or Trey will have to search for new employment. Pam tells Trey that she may be able to help him if he can get her the A&R position. He agrees. Dante, Pam's typist/assistant from work, brings her the rest of her belongings from her old office. Dante begins to play the piano and sings. Pam becomes impressed and invites him to sing at her talent showcase. He agrees. That night, Dante is a no-show; prompting Pam to track him down. Sweets unexpectantly arrives and awaits to be impressed by Trey's efforts to impress him with the new singer. All of a sudden, Dante shows up, sings and impresses Trey, the audience and Sweets. As a result of Dante's performance, Sweets offers Pam the A&R position and tells Trey that he still has his job thanks to Pam.

Tommy with no job, never even seen his place and no woman except for Pam. Them sidekick ass niggaz definately wouldn't have been a good spinoff. Pam's show wouldn't have been great but much better than both of those ideas.

i chose Cole because he was the next funniest character after Martin, plus around the last season he was dating Cherise. You could create characters from his job at the airport to be the supporting actors, his mom and big Shirley hating on Cole for moving on to a new girl.

Exactly, the last season was based around her alot like the episode of her crazy cousin that escaped the crazy home or the epsiode when Keith Sweat was on there as a cop or the episode where she is trying to get a job at Keep It Real Records and uses Tyrese to get the job.

the Pam spinoff would have been dope. Her working in the music industry as an A&R. that episode with Tyrese was a perfect blueprint for that sitcom. Hell they could have even casted Tyrese as her main protege'. it would have been funny and entertaining with the singing. Plus appearances by orginal Martin cast members.

They could of pulled it off with Tommy, Pam & Cole by starting the spin off by saying that Martin & Gina moved away. Keeping bruhman and adding some more funny characters, maybe sayin they moved in the old Martin apartment, hell even could of had a few surprise appearances from Martin himself as Jerome, Shanaynay and all the other characters he portrayed during the show.

Is niggaz really acting like Martin and Pam werent the two funniest, if not the ONLY funny people on Martin? Gina had her moments...THEN you have Cole and Tommy who were rarely actually funny in their own right. Martin, Pam and Martin's alter-egos carried that show with assistance from Gina.

Maybe you make a point. But then again they played their parts well enough. Couldn't necessarily call em lame. The character Martin Payne was so manic and over the top that he needed to be surrounded by several straight-men to balance all that out.

Kinda like the show Seinfeld, but in reverse. Neat freak, main character Jerry is straight laced with a well written sarcastic zinger here and there. But to balance him out, he's surrounded by three great characters all with their quirks and traits that play against the main character with their own unique dynamics.

The formula works well in both shows and Tommy and Cole supported/complemented Martin well.

That being said, would a Martin spinoff work? Hell no.
