i usually split it up. run in the morning then again in the evening. combined, probably close to 2 hours. but i run slower on a treadmill.

if i run outside i could probably run 7 miles in about an hour

running to lose weight eventually inspired me to actually run in some races, just to add a competition element to it. running in races and finishing behind a bunch of kids, nosandusky, inspired me to train a little more to improve my times. so its just more motivation to stick with it. now i lost some weight AND have a few plaques on my wall

i tried playing in a basketball league, played on a softball team, played flag football. i couldn't do any of that like i wanted to so thats kinda how i ended up running. it is boring tho. but i'm sure if i ate like i should i wouldn't have to run as much but the mcrib came back so it is what it is

I been trying to get definition but the shit ain't happenin

    Hit a plateau?
Planks, push ups, crunches and yoga seem to effectively help.

Anyone have any other ab muscle defining tips?

I don't want to look like Janet though. Soft yet toned feminine abs>>>>>>

I have a daily workout routine but I posted this in the Whatchu doing thread. @Taeboo, @gns and I are starting this tomorrow......I am at least lol.

    muv8yf.jpg

-Glass of ice water with the juice of a lemon squeezed in as soon as I wake up.

-Breakfast smoothie with baby spinach or kale, fruits, dates and a little bit of nuts in the morning after working out and one for lunch with a big salad.

-Eat a grapefruit to curb hunger.

-Do not eat out of boredom, only when you are hungry.

-Drinks lots of water. At times we mistake thirst for hunger.

-Eat smaller meals 5 times a day opposed to 3 bigger meals.

-Chef Ahki has her Essence of Vitality detox which is said to be awesome.

-Coconut water is a natural source of energy. Drink alone or mix into a smoothie.

    My personal goal......
    Spoiler:

And to maintain that definition one can say bye to carbs ie. pastas and breads.

Didn't read. Only quoted b/c of the fine azzz white chick, and "Marley" showing off her stomach. This changes nothin tho.

But to respond to the topic, I'm already in the gym. So I'm continuing that. I need to start focusing more on my abs and legs. Also continue building up my chest. Oh yeah, gotta hit the treadmill...ehh. I'll do that after my workouts.

Diets...riiight. I wouldn't even know where to begin. Any suggestions?

Lol. Brother, aint nobody got time for all of that.

Anyways, for starters, its not about dieting it is about a lifestyle change. Why don't you join the 10 days workout plan too? It'll get you started and its definitely great for legs as well. I will post this detox later on which is always a good way to change your diet around and cleanse your system to begin a new way of eating. Eventually your body will want healthier foods and you will have trained yourself to eat smaller portion of better quality foods. Your stomach basically shrinks and no longer will you desire to eat until you get full.

You should always eat until you still have room for a little more.

Lots of leafy green and bright veggies are important. Consumptions of fruits is also something that has to be monitored to a point. They are high in natural sugars especially fruits like bananas, grapes and pineapple. One should cut down on those and eat a lot of foods which are high in water content.

What 10 day workout plan? Do tell ma'am.

My problem, my MAIN problem that is, me eating late at night after work. So what are some meals I can during that time that aren't heavy?

i'm pretty good with the working out and stuff, i really need to make sure i get more calories in and the right calories especially

my husband designs most of my cardio work outs for me, on my own i stick with pilates and yoga for the most part. i haven't been able to find another pilates class that fits my schedule so i've been following a lot of pilates youtube vids

this is a great channel for pilates, which is great for building tone, definition and lengthens. to add a lil umph, i use tension/resistance bands or wearable ankle weights

    0018713584458.jpg

this is my favourite kind, it works great for the lower body work out.

actually i really do need to develop some upper body strength, i have none to speak of it's pathetic lol. push-ups hurt so much the next day tho lol

High protein and veggies is your best bet late night. If you eat chicken, a piece of the white meat which is less in fat or turkey which is even more lean, baked or grilled with fresh raw or lightly steamed veggies won't be too heavy of a meal for such hours. Try not to eat right before bed, your metabolism already starts to slow down when youre winding down, give yourself a couple hours between eating and bedtime. Drink a cold glass of water 20 minutes before and after your meal. Start with that and try planning your snacks ahead of time.
