how did one of the most popular commercial rappers at the time with perhaps the first classic solo debut album ever under his belt (at the time) be managed by a 17 year old in high school? and why don't either of them ever mention this? they always make it seem like diddy got his start in college at uptown.

False. He might be a hard worker but that isn't why he got in that position.

When are yall gonna learn how the entertainment business work?

That's a European reissue homeboy. The original release couldn't have had LL managed by Puff, but in 1995, it was likely, both were hot.

This is a classics review from rolling stone years back

Produced by Rubin, the record, was also managed by "Sean 'Puffy' Combs for Bad Boy Management". Steve Juon of RapReviews. com wrote of it's effect, in that ". . . . It seems this album was the launching pad for a lot of different success stories: Rick Rubin as a musical pioneer, LL Cool J as a household name, and Russell Simmons and Sean Combs as moguls in the music industry. . . . ".

    i'm just saying
i met a few old white men in my life
none of them are too eager to give me no money
i dont see no old white man giving a college dropout no money unless he can play ball
diddy aint play no ball and diddy aint rap
but this old white man gave him 5 million dollars and said go do you
    why?
cause of jodeci and mary j blige??
teddy jam and lewis had to sell millions of records with janet jackson and paula abdul and keith sweat for years before they got their vanity label
same for babyface and la reid
but diddy can get a bigger deal than all of them
from jsut jodeci and mary j blige and father mc?

i never heard of no white man in my whole life giving a young black college dropout no 5 million dollars, unless he can dunk or catch touchdown passes or hit homeruns
diddy cant do none of that
