Graduation was released six years after 9/11, and he went head to head with 50 Cent (who released Curtis on the same day as Graduation).. whereas MBTDF was released after the very experimental 808s and Heartbreaks, and contained a few songs that was released as part of Kanye's GOOD Fridays series (So Appalled, Monster and Devil in a New Dress)..



So I ask.. which album do ya'll feel is better?..

The greatness in MBDTF is that people had most the album freely released by Kanye for the entire summer and when he released it completed plus two songs, it still had impact and sold.

Overall I think MBDTF is better..if you take off Drunk & Hot Girls and Barry Bonds, and add Bittersweet then I would give the nod to Graduation..

I think MBDTF is his best album. Not saying it had the biggest impact, that would be CD, but musicaly, lyrically this nigga destroyed every song on it. Critics were saying it was his Sgt. Peppers. When I first heard him spit on Gorgeous, I knew it was a wrap, and this was AFTER people were saying they'd never fuck with him after that Taylor Swift bullshit

Nah. MBDTF was better, it brought Ye out the grave. The make or break album after 808s, Taylor Swift etc and he SHOWED OUT. Down to the GOOD Fridays, the videos, this album was the stuff of Legends.
