Warner Brothers is eyeing Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men: First Class, Kingsman) to direct Man of Steel 2

Matthew Vaughn knows how to make a good film, and he doesn't forget that a film needs to build up characters you actually care about rather than throwing every visual effect at the screen. He'd probably drag the production to the UK if he got the gig.

they shoot alot of Huge budget American movies in the UK.

Guardians 2 and all the Star Wars joints ate shoot over there.

Yeah. The original Superman films were filmed in Britain along with countless others films right up to today's blockbusters. It's just a general comment as Matthew Vaughn has said in the past he prefers to film here rather than travel. He's a far better choice (if he says yes) than Zack Snyder.

The Batman Reported To Begin Production In 2018

When it comes to the DC Extended Universe, it seems things are always in flux. Movies get moved around with scheduling, and directors will come and go as they please. Most recently, films like The Batman have undergone the most revision with staffing, but Warner Bros. isn’t shying away from the title. Fans learned that Matt Reeves was brought onto The Batman after Ben Affleck stepped down from the directorial position. And, now, reports have surfaced that production on The Batman has a tentative start date.

Over on Twitter, a noted DC Comics insider and Variety reporter has shared information about the film he’s garnered from persona sources. Justin Kroll recently tweeted he’s heard Reeves is contracted to work on War for the Planet of the Apes until the end of June. As such, it seems production on The Batman will likely not get underway until 2018.

Later, Kroll then tweeted about The Batman and its casting. He said “any casting rumors you hear are likely BS” because Reeves won’t have time to meet with talent until July.

Kroll’s social media posts are not the only updates fans have gotten about The Batman. At the beginning of March, an official heads-up came from Joe Manganiello who will play Deathstroke. In an interview with ChefIrvine, the star was asked about The Batman, and Manganiello was optimistic about the superhero flick’s progress.

“They have big plans for this movie. Whether or not we start exactly on that date or in June, whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. Here’s the thing: The creative process needs to be respected and no one involved in this film wants to make anything less than an unbelievable film, a legendary film,” he said.

“The movie will start shooting whenever those pieces are in place and we know this is gonna be something that we’re proud of. What we’re not gonna do is be backed into a start date, scrambling to get something off the ground just to get it off the ground. Everyone involved wants to make this the best film possible, so that’s really what it’s about. It’s funny how the media likes to run with, 'Oh there’s trouble!' 'Oh, the script needs to be revised!' They’re drama queens. There’s a creative process, and everyone on the cast and crew wants to make this the best movie possible. So that’s what we’re gonna do. When we start shooting it, we’ll start shooting it. It will be soon, I can say that. Here’s the thing: No one wants to create that superhero movie that’s polarizing to fans and critics. Rest assured, we’re gonna do this thing right."

That could work. MoS 2 and The Batman in the same year span could mean big money for dc

    Warner Bros. Delays Aquaman Release

Here we go again. If you are a fan of the DC Extended Universe, then you have yet another change coming your way. After being pushed back once already, it looks like Aquaman is getting shoved aside just a bit more. Instead of hitting theaters in October 2018, Aquaman will now reportedly hit theaters in time for the holidays.

According to the Wall Street Journal’s Ben Fritz, Aquaman has been pushed back to December 21, 2018. The date may sound familiar to some comic book fans as it also marks the release of Sony’s animated Spider-Man film featuring Miles Morales. You can read Fritz’s tweet below:

“Warner Bros. pushes back Aquaman release from 10/5/18 to 12/21/18. Same day as Sony's animated Spider-Man!”

Of course, many fans were not expecting this pushback given the progress Aquaman has made over the past couple of months. Pre-production is already underway on the project, and director James Wan has been busy scouting filming locations for the flick. As for its stars, Jason Momoa and Amber Heard met up with the director alongside Patrick Wilson to scope out its script. And, recently, Momoa has shared a slew of training updates with fans.

With the new adjustment, Aquaman will still be hitting theaters after DC Entertainment screens its untitled movie scheduled for July 27th. The spot still remains open, and fans have wondered if The Flash may be moved down to that release slot given its recent directorial concerns. So, for now, fans will have to suffice will seeing Aquaman when he joins the cast of Justice League when it debuts this summer.

I doubt they put out Superman and Batman in the same year. Those are like the backbones of this universe so they both need to anchor a respective year on their own. It will probably be Gotham City Sirens or Aquaman.

They won't cause they bumped up Solo specifically cause they want to take back May as Star Wars month.

Now that the real Lobo is back in the comics they really should consider developing a movie. Now that Joe Mangianello might not be in The Batman give him something to do and recast him as Lobo. Unless Slade ends up in the Nightwing movie which is where he belongs anyway.

Lol i forgot the nightwing movie was announced not too long ago. Hopefully DC/WB comes to Comicon with some sort of concrete plan/timeline for these movies. Theres always been a timeline but since then movies have been pushed back, cancelled, and rearranged. Wonder whats going on in their executive heads

Greatest trailer to a trailer ever released. Academy award for Trailer of the year

That shot of Batman standing on the gargoyle/skeleton is an exercise in epicness. It's this kind of shit that keeps me from completely shitting on Zack Snyder.

The imagery is dope but that has never been Snyder's problem.
