Just watched it good movie . Wolverine should have been rated r from the jump. It would have been nice if he didn't die and was just able to live in peace same for Xavier. But I'm cool with how things ended

But then X Men turned into an allegory for LGBT issues.

Remember Angel in X3? And the "have you ever tried not being a mutant"?

    Damn I hate X3.

Well obviously it would since that's where civil rights issues evolved to. X-Men was always a voice for outsiders. That's why it was always Marvel's best properties. More outsiders in this world than anything else.

Just watched the first X-Men film from 2000 and that shit has aged so well! Didn't realize it until me and my son were watching Logan that he wasn't born when it came out so had never seen it.

He loved it because there were like 30 mutants in it, lol. And Wolverine's intro was crazy dope!

1 and 2 were the best, as far as an actual x-men film goes. After that they just decided to make their own shit up. Just random mutants thrown in there and pretty much changing everything about them. Oh yeah, making mystique of all mutants the star of the movies. Now they getting ready to fuck up one of the greatest sagas in any marvel series. I usually bootleg the films just because I'm a huge long time marvel fan. But I refuse to even bother checking for a movie about the phoenix force. They couldn't even do Apocalypse right, HOW THE FUCK YOU GONNA GET A COSMIC BEING RIGHT?

X-Men: Dark Phoenix' Release Date, Cast, Plot and Everything Else we Know so Far
    By Manthan / 2017.05.09

“X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” the follow-up to last year’s “X-Men: Apocalypse,” is set to start production next month. The upcoming film has been a subject to a great deal of speculation ever since it was announced shortly after the release of “Apocalypse.” Here’s what we know about the film so far.
Last month, Fox announced that the film, originally titled “X-Men: Supernova,” would officially be called “Dark Phoenix,” and as the title suggests, will follow X-Men’s classic “Dark Phoenix” storyline, as Collider reported.

The “Dark Phoenix” narrative follows Professor Charles Xavier and the X-Men as they try to save the universe from the Dark Phoenix, a corrupted Jean Grey who has been consumed by an evil force.
The “Dark Phoenix” storyline was previously used in “X-Men: The Last Stand,” in which Famke Janssen portrayed the mutant with telepathic and telekinetic powers. However, Sophie Turner will reprise her role as Jean Grey in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix.”
The “Dark Phoenix” storyline makes sense as the next film in the “X-Men” franchise as we saw Turner’s Jean Grey unleash her “darker” powers to defeat the antagonist in the final minutes of “Apocalypse.”

“The seeds of Phoenix definitely are planted in there," Turner told Entertainment Weekly. "She can’t control her powers unless she either fully stops them or lets them all loose, and that’s kind of Phoenix. I think in future movies to come we’ll definitely see a bit more of that.”
In addition to the “Game of Thrones” actress, Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Ororo Munro (Storm) are expected to reprise their roles in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” along with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, who could return as Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr.
Simon Kinberg, who served as a writer/producer on “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and X-Men: Apocalypse as well as a producer on “Deadpool” and “X-Men: First Class,” has been confirmed as the director of the upcoming film.

“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” is slated to theaters on November 2, 2018.

They should use the Phoenix to reboot XMen or bring them to the MCU.

Does Fox only have access to the X-Men character's and not source material? Or do they rather not use the source material to skip paying Marvel and or the author.

The source material belongs to marvel. They let marvel use Ego in the Guardians film in exchange for Marvel letting them expand on the character of Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

seeing how marvel can bring cosmic characters to life in the guardians movie makes me wish they had rights to silver surfer, galactus , the , fantastic four. especially the ff. imagine an ff movie done with guardian of the galaxy type visuals and action etc. how can marvel have the kree and not have skrulls?

Yeah FF is such a lame team, but their villains are fucking awesome and it sucks that Marvel cant use them. I would love to see phase 4 and 5 build up to everyone fighting Dr. Doom or something! Or Galactus of course.

Logan Director Has Spoken To Fox About X-23's Return

Hugh Jackman may be done as Wolverine, but there’s still hope for Dafne Keen to return as X-23.

Keen practically stole the show as Laura in Logan and left fans begging for more. According to Logan director James Mangold, fans just might get what they’re hoping for.

“Anything’s possible,” Mangold said during a live question and answer session during screenings fo Logan Noir. “I’ve certainly talked to them about it. I even talked to them about it before we made the movie. I thought she was just such a great character, but with what Dafne did, I think that certainly, that’s possible.”

Could her return come as soon as X-Men: Dark Phoenix? There a still a lot of questions surrounding Fox's next big X-Men movie, so, for now, anything is possible.

Keen was a great casting find for 20th Century Fox, as producer Hutch Parker recalls in a special feature showing Keen's audition for X-23.

"There are qualities you can't ask of someone to deliver," says Parker. " A level of strength, a sort of stage presence and a maturity that still doesn't really make sense to me. It felt like she could do this most difficult thing of, on the one hand, being the sort of emotional co-star with Hugh [Jackman] and with Patrick and on top of that then also manage the physicality, which was pretty demanding. She was really a remarkable discovery."

Logan has an 88.07 ComicBook.com Composite Score, which is the second-best ComicBook.com Composite Score among all comic book movies. Logan also has a 4.62 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Rating, making it the second most-loved comic book movie ever among ComicBook.com readers. Let us know what you thought of Logan by giving it your own rating below.

In Logan, in the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Logan is the final performance as Wolverine for Hugh Jackman. Jackman has played Wolverine for 17 years and through nine movies: the original X-Men trilogy, the prequel X-Men trilogy (though two of those appearances were cameos), and the Wolverine trilogy.

Logan also introduces a possible heir to Wolverine's mantle in Laura, a.k.a. X-23, a clone young female clone of Wolverine with his claws, healing factor and fierce fighting skills.

Logan is directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Frank and Michael Green, from a story by Mangold, and also stars Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen.
