i wonder what sort of odds you could have got in vegas two weeks ago on the dodgers not reaching 100 wins

    or

finishing with fewer wins than the indians

there are some barely believable streaks coinciding with each other right now

I didn't feel that good coming into this brewers series cuz of the pitching match ups.Brewers have their 3 best pitchers vs lackey, montgomery and hendricks(shell of himself compared to last year)

Montgomery been solid vs every team BUT the brewers this season.Cards are like jason voorhies they won't die fuck man

it's whatever hopefully cubs win today

Ronald acuna minor league player of the year.Went from high a to aaa in one season and dominated at every promotion, this kid hitting better than 60-62% of all double aa/triple aa hitters at age 19

Duke will be 20 in december. He's definitely gonna be in the bigs net season braves system pretty stacked

Worst case scenario happened this weekend, but the cubs needed this wake up call or maybe they just aren't that good

nl central lead went from 5 games to 2 over the brewers & cards :# cards come to wrigley next weekend then it's cubs @ brewers for 4 then @ cards for 4 sept 21-28 shit just got real.

If Judge can get hot again it's a wrap. He's had a lot of great at bats lately. I like our chances with Severino, Gray, & Sabathia over a lot of niggas right now.

    cubs cant do anything right

    dodgers cant do anything right

astros suddenly reverting to august form

seems like the indians and the nationals have been by far the only teams in the past 2-3 weeks with their heads on straight

I've been skeptical of the cubs all season.Plus they've had a lot of injuries contreras, russell, heyward, zobrist, lester, arrieta, hendricks, uehara all been on the dl,bryant having a down year offensively. They aren't as good as the '15 or '16 cubs teams were. They've been mad inconsistent but it's about getting to october. They got sonned this weekend maybe it will light a fire under them or maddon needs his stupid sesame street zoo day or to bring the magician in like they're kindergartners to get them going.

What the dodgers doing is unprecedented they were on track for the all time wins record and have lost 15 out 16 and this would be the longest losing streak of any champ ever.

That being said it's about getting to october. The A's won 20 games in a row in '02 and lost in the alds how you play in october is what matters

considering baseball has so much postseason randomness

after all the talk this season and recently about the indians and astros and dodgers and nats and the rockies/diamondbacks

watch the world series end up being yankees/cubs

its just so hard to predict october

everything is reset to zero and everything you think you know doesnt matter

Jesse rogers wrote an article on espn.com sayin the cubs should consider changing the line up.He made some valid points

Basically bryant hits lead off cuz of his ob%,base running, power and cuz he's been terrible this season wit risp then ,zobrist/lastella(contact,walks,good ob%),rizzo, contreras, baez be 3-5.I agree wit everything he wrote

    why in cleveland

with their ace on the hill

were there only 24,000 in attendance to see the first place indians tie the a.l record for consecutive wins

    whats going on there?

they had that consecutive sellout streak some years back

    weird

Japanese star pitcher/outfielder Shohei Otani has long been on the radar as one of the most talented players on the planet who isn’t already with a MLB organization. He stoked expectations before the season that he might ask his current team — the Nippon Ham Fighters — to make him available to major league clubs through the posting system. Now, reports out of Japan tonight suggest that’s just what will occur

Yankees probably sign him since they have a lot of international pool dough
