I really enjoy how there are no boundaries in poetry, No social boundaries or creative boundaries. It is just a poet and his/her words. I Love the stories and emotion behind them and the messages which hit you.
I Think poetry can be anything you can make it out to be, Thats why its great to read other peoples pieces. And some pieces can be different to other people even though its the same poem.
One of my favorite poems is Tupac Shakur - In the Depth of Solitude. I Remember first reading this years and years ago and thinking if i could write down the truth in the form of words, that it could actually be that poem.

I read it more than I write it. Good to vent. Good for inspiring when lost, and for workin on my rap, ya know?

I write for the sake of my future. For our children's future. For that stormy night, I watched my friend fall into the Earth...to always remember. To bring life. To sustain all that is naturally possible within our forgotten minds. That page is my canvas. My pen strokes creates illustrations for the reader to embark upon. It is my gift, the last relic of my physical form on this world. The only blueprint that showed the secrets of my mind that I do not share, even with myself. To liberate the locked souls or to assuage the pain of the fallen. We are all travelers on this plane, searching for meaning and understanding. I am just the cartographer who will leave behind what I find for the advancement of the proverbial soul of the human race.

I Ask Him
He Is Today
Have Another Day
From The Heart
Hears My Pleads
More Than I Need
I Thank Him For
Night And Day
I Thank Him For
Me His Way.
Today I Am Here
I Will Pray
It is Heaven
I Am On.

"God gave me a gift, to put people at ease. If I was to sit and break it down, technically, I couldn't. Because I don't know. That's the god to honest truth. I don't know. What I do, is what I do. I hear a beat. I feel it. I write it. I say it." - Heavy D
I been ducking this thread for the longest, cause I can't answer it. Y'all got some inspiring, deep, and profound reasons to pick up that pen. Type on that keyboard. Or whatever you do. Me, not so much. I don't know if that's good or bad, but whatever. It's just me making an observation if anything.
