Why does everybody front like teachers aren't caked up?

i always hear/read about how broke teachers are, but i never met a full time teacher making less than 50 stacks a year. you can usually make more than that as a intern. the average is like, 66 grand, but in the rich suburbs, it's high school teachers making six figures. plus they get some of the best health insurance, a lot of time off, and hella job security.

    BUllshit ass Unions.

Same with pigs. They have Unions that lobby for them and nobody is going to go around saying, "hey we're doing just fine. We dont need help. We make enough for what we do. You either want to teach or you dont and its not like children are getting the best education in the world anyway since every country outpaces and outranks American kids by far in damn near every category (except confidence) so obviously we need BETTER education period as well as better teachers."

You'll never hear a Union Rep say that. All they can say is, "Gee, if only teachers made more money."

    "Why Tyrone cant read?"

    "We're under funded"

WORD? Your 4th graders read at a Fetus Grade level because you dont make $100K a year? Kill your fukkin self.

They have repeated the BS line about, "our teachers simply dont make enough" til the point where ppl believe that shit without giving it a second thought. Just like every election cycle a politician says, "we need more cops on the street" when thats bullshit. But its easier to spew a well-known cliche than to tell a harsh true that will hurt Mrs. Teacher's little FEE-WINGS.

You know those assholes think they're the fucking saviors of the Universe and shit. No matter how much they suck at what they do they stay thinking they've "made a difference." When really only a handfull of teachers have truly made a difference in a student's life. If you go to every person in America and ask them to name every teacher they ever had they couldnt. They can only name 5 or 6 teachers by heart. You know why? Cuz most teachers dont have a major impact on your life.

Why should I pay so much in taxes for a muthafukka that sits on his ass grades algebra my black ass will never see again in my life? I shouldnt.

But it says something about our priorities as a society when our best paid people really do nothing to better our society. Actors, singers, sports make more than teachers, doctors, and shit like that.

    Actors,
More people can teach than can act.

    Supply and demand, economics 101
    singers,
More people can teach than can sing well.

    Supply & demand, economics 101
    sports

More people can teach than can run a 4.3 second 40, with high level of agility & can also hit a baseball 400 yards in the bottom of the 9th with the bases loaded.
    make more than teachers, doctors
Do tens of thousands of people flock to stadiums every other day to watch teachers & doctors do their jobs? No.

The players have unique abilities that are extremely hard to come by.

If Mrs. Jones at Such-N-Such Elementary dislocates her knee and needs surgery they can find a substitute teacher within the hour. If Kobe Bryant dislocates his knee and needs surgery...Los Angeles is on suicide watch. Thats why Kobe makes more than your math teacher. As he should.

Last i checked starting salary for DPS was like 30-35 stacks a year.

And Denver is not THAT small of a city

I was a student teacher durring undergrad and I will tell you, most of these teachers don't make shit.

And even still, anyone living in the adult world knows that 60 stacks a year is not very much money.

I cant negate a comment that doesnt make any sense to begin with.

On what planet should your random geometry teacher make more than a Kobe Bryant or a Tom Brady? Seriously?

Can u honestly answer that question without a bunch of bullshit emotional cliches about how "children are the future" and "teachers are leading the next generation" and all that nonsense?

    I dont think you can.

I can see if the American school system was churning out Nobel Prize Finalists every year and I could see if test scores werent so horrid for kids, I could see if teachers were actually...I dont know...TEACHING but since only a hand full of them actually make a major impact on a child's life then how about we give them more money when they give us smarter students?

Can you HONESTLY tell me that ALL of your teachers deserve just as much money as whoever your favorite sports star is? REALLY? Can you HONESTLY tell me that? I can name a few teacher who I think deserve the money. But emphasis on a FEW.

Stop saying shit just to sound like everybody else and stop and THINK about whether what you're saying actually makes sense.

Im all for unions. But Im not all for bullshit.

And the teachers union, police unions, and damn near every union peddles bullshit.

Police Union = We need more cops on the streets. Our hard working police officers put their lives on the line to keep us safe and simply dont make enough for what they do.

TRUTH = Cops dont do much of anything and dont deserve the check they are getting let alone more. Cops dont prevent crime a good economy does. Actuallyc ops do very little to prevent crime. But the truth is too harsh and a cliche is easier to fall back on especially since nobody will actually stop and think about whether it makes any sense.

    NBA/NFL Player's Union =
Poor us. The owners are sooo mean. We're only going to make $750K on average next year boo hoo hoo.

    TRUTH =
U dont even have a real job and you make plenty. STFU.

    Teacher's Union Truth=
Wahhhhh...Kobe makes more than Me wahhhhh....Im so under appreciated. I mean..only a few of my students are actually motivated and probably wont even remember my name or face once the semester is over. But I want extra money anyway. Even though I probably didnt teacher him.her a gotdamnt hing they'll need to know once they're out of my class.

Unions: GREAT. But only to combat abuses by higher authority in the private sector. Dont come walking up with your handout when American kids are still dumb as shit. Only a fucking teacher and a pig would ask for MORE money with less results.
Their point is we put more into a dude that can run fast and not into the people molding our future. We care more about ent than real shit
A point which makes no sense because there is a clear and logical reason for that being the case.

I mean anybody can get emotional cookie points by saying, "Its a shame single Mothers dont make as much as Lebron James. Boy are our prioties fucked up."

Well that will get u a round of applause. But it's still a dumbass thing to say. Just cuz it makes u feel warm and fuzzy inside doesnt mean it makes sense.

You might be stuck in a classroom with 17 year old kids on a 6th grade reading level who really dont want to be there anyway. Its not about teaching facts and figures. But about realistic education and

I understand somewhat but its is like the gap between the rich and everyone else we should be able to clsoe the gap a little. I'm not for payin a teacher $100,000 but a pay increase is in order or just put more money into the system

    Exactly...

Anyway to sum it up. When teachers start churning out better students as a WHOLE and not just a few of them and when our kids are on the same level as the Chinese, Japanese, English, Indians and other developed or almost developed nations then yes. Pay them as much as u can and as much as they deserve.

But til then. Fuck them. DO better to get paid better. Til then sit your ass down and be happy u not in the unemployment line. And stop whining.

    e.

Theres some truth to this. lol

The problem is though your hands are tied in the education system. You might have a class with some 17 year olds on a 5th grade reading level.

I do think some teachers need to get hazard pay though. (Breaking up fights, mediating between gang members so there wont be any fights in the future, counseling kids who got molested and they are mad at the world, Trying to motivate 15 year old boys with 3 kids and explaining child support to them)

I think real teachers understand the job before they sign up for it though. I dont see how anyone in 2010 can be a lifelong teacher in some of these schools. The problem is the ones who really put in work and really make a difference will never get their just due. But thats probably in alot of working industries as well.

But teachers are paid through the government. Which is technically OUR money.

So far as im concerned if little Johnny goes to Uncle Sam HIgh School...but Johnny cant read...then the teacher (and parents of course) suck...and I want my money back.

They can have a big higher salary when these dumb ass kids have a higher IQ.

I blame the parents. They should demand better for their kids.

The only reason I care is because Im sick of this American ignorance. Its like its cool to be stupid these days.

Its cool to think evolution is a lie and MORONIC Design should be taught in public schools.

And we worried about how much teachers are getting paid? When kids are dumb as hell? NAH...
so i don't know how things work in the US.
