Why do people always think "the next year" will be better?

This time of year, all you hear is "2011 is MY YEAR"

or "Get ready 2011!!"

By March niggas is basically in the SAME POSITION they were in LAST MARCH. Maybe a few pounds heavier, or lighter, depending on how they eatin.

But come December 2011, "2012 is MY YEAR!!!"

Lets just admit that most people are set in their ways by a certain age.

The only way people truly change in most cases is a personal revelation or near death, not a new calendar year.

I don't really see nothing wrong with it personally. I mean, if someone has a goal that they've been working hard at to meet and they can finally see the finishline approaching to reaching said goal...I think they have a pretty good reason to be excited for themselves in the new year.
