what do u not understand about this? there was nothin in the earth. in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, the earth being where we live and the heavens being the universe. the FIRST DAY of earth did NOT occur until the light (sun) shined on it. THEN plants, formation of land and other organisms were created. the cycle of life and process of land evolving over time did not occur until after light was shone onto the earth. i misworded my last statement, in verse 3 he does not 'create' the light, he simply directs the light onto the earth. in verse 1, he created the universe (heavens) and our world (earth).

I'm not referring to life on Earth, but to Earth as a physical celestial body. At the very moment the Earth formed--even if there was "nothing" on/in it--it would've been subject to the light of the Sun, because the Sun predates the Earth. In fact, the Earth and other planets likely formed from the leftovers of Sun's formation. So, it would be impossible for the Earth to form without being subjected to light.

More technically, even without considering the Sun, the Earth would still be subjected to light from other stars. Furthermore, even without considering other stars, plenty of exothermic processes on the early Earth would've produced light as well. Not to mention, even without considering Earth's exothermic processes, the fact persists that photons--which emit light--are fundamental physical particles, and they would've existed long before the formation of any planets.

What this all shows is that light--whether it be on a Solar, stellar, geo-exothermic, or photonic level--did not come after the Earth formed.

So yes, the Christian bible remains false in this regard.

anyway, i think ur lookin at this in the form of the universe/earth literally being created in 6 days. this did not happen all at once (in my beliefs). it was a long process reduced down to like 10-15 verses.

he says let there be light (which was already created), then over time and process everything else follows.

I checked out the link, and neither that nor what you've posted here addresses the fact that it's impossible for the Earth to have been "without light" at any point in its formation.

It clearly says that "God" "created" the Earth, that means the Earth existed in some form at this point. The Earth is then described as "formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep", which suggests that at this point the Earth existed in some form but it was not the same as it is presently and there was no life on it. Next, it is also implied that there were "waters" on the Earth at this point. Based on these statements, the definition of "formless" that applies is the second one, "lacking order". This means that according to the Christian bible, the Earth was "created" and existed in some form before it was subjected to light; which is impossible.

As for the book of Revelation that IS NOT a prediction of war it is a veiled warning to the oppressive Roman government at the time which was persecuting Jews at the time. Most Bible Scholars agree with this. People who are actually objective about it. Look it up.

What is so difficult about people on either side of the argument admitting that neither has the answer. Religious people have faith and belief which is not fact and scientists have theories and conclusions based on current knowledge and understanding...which is only "factual" until something new is learned that disproves the currently accepted way of thinking. There are limitless possibilities but only 1 truth.
