From what i recall the whole basis of the hate for Vanilla Ice was cos people felt he lied about being from Miami when he really was from Dallas, Texas but Vanilla Ice has always said he grew up in both Dallas and Miami
Paull Wall like Vanilla Ice isn't a talented Rapper or really good either and Paul Wal was born and raised in Jersey Village, Texas which is an Upper MIddle Class Suburb that is predominantly white populated and Paul Wall attended College
So why the hate in the early 90's for Vanilla but not for Paul Wall?

Vanilla to me just seemed like a regular dude making fun Rap Music no different to MC Hammer, Soulja Boy, Paul Wall, Gucci Mane etc
Look at Ice Cube he makes Gangsta Rap but he never in his life was in a Gang or ever sold drugs he was actually raised Middle Class in a Suburb and was a College kid everyone from LA will tell you that
