Forget albums, how many classic songs does Lil Wayne even have?

Seriously. I was thinking last night that people that hail this dude as the greatest ever but what songs does he have that are truly timeless and classic? I'm not super familar with this dudes catalog but I cant think of any. And, really, you shouldn't need to be familar with all his shit to recognize classic joints.

2pac has songs like "California Love", "Dear Mama", "Keep Ya Head Up"

Jay has "Big Pimpin", "Empire State of Mind", ect

Big has "Juicy", "Hypnotize", "Everyday Struggle"

But what songs does Lil Wayne have that match up with these examples? "Fireman"? "Lollipop"? " A Mille"? Them shits are not classic. "How To Love"?

Someone please defend this dude and help me understand why he is considered by many one of the best ever.

Grown Man, Youngn Blues, Fuck The World, Tie My Hands, BMJR are all classic solo songs that made his albums. Wayne's problem since the 1st Carter is that he has way to many songs that leak.

No disrespect but this is not a strong arguement I've heard so far, and I wasn't expecting it to be. You can't name classic smash singles because this dude doesn't have any. His biggest song was A Mille and it was OK but it was basically just a long freestyle.

We may not like it, but Lollipop had the world in a boston crab. Hell, every single from C3 was huge. If you talkin quality... nah, he has nothing memorable. If he released I'm Me and Gossip as singles, they would've been huge.

I guess my question should have been how many quality songs does he have that have earned him this GOAT title that people give him? Yeah he can spit a few hot lines her and there but pretty much any rapper can do that. Hustlers Muzik was pretty hot but if a Nas or Jay-Z had made that song it wouldnt even be in their top 30 songs, yet this dude is mentioned along with them? I just don't understand. And I dont hate Wayne either, but I cannot stand his fans.

It's the hype of 06-08 that have people putting him up there with the greats. He went from being slept on to overhyped damn near over night when We Takin Over dropped. Too bad he never progressed from there to be a great MC.
