You're confusing being a fraud with being misrepresented by history, threadstarter.

Joseph Smith is a pretty big fraud, for example. He was well-known as a con man before he founded the religion of Mormonism based on gold tablets he "received from angels." They were actually mundane Egyptian hieroglyphs he purchased from a collector. He claimed God allowed him to translate them into the holy books of Mormonism. After the Rosetta Stone was discovered, Egyptologists were able to translate the tablets accurately. They were just plain old instructions for the disposal of dead cattle.

Other well-known religious frauds: L Ron Hubbard, Jim Jones, Elijah Muhammad, Drew Ali, etc.

There's no evidence Abu Bakari II actually arrived in the Western Hemisphere. The legend goes that he took a fleet of rafts into the ocean with no plan on actually getting anywhere, got caught in a strong current, and disappeared. If the story is true at all, he starved or drowned. But West African historians don't even believe his fleet existed. Why would a king sail into the middle of the ocean without a plan?

African history is fascinating, but unfortunately the internet is full of Youtube intellectuals who refuse to do any research beyond copy/pasting from shoddy Afrocentric websites without sources listed.

People don't pay attention in school and then complain about it. Show me an American history textbook that's been in use in the last three decades that really says "Colombus was the first person to discover America."

Yes these crackas get mad at the thought of it but Ivan Van Sertima proved it in his book Early America Revisited

And provides accounts by the people back in those times who said they saw them

Only the 1st person can discover something.

But I dont think is kids not paying attention, I think its schools putting out information that gives students the impression that he did discover America.

Actually, he didn't prove that. The reason Van Sertima isn't respected in his field is that his scholarship is a joke.
