NY didnt invent hip hop

Niggas were openly rapping in Idaho and Nebraska back in 1966. Niggas been scatting since the 1900s in the south. if you want to split hairs 1930s-1950s southern blues/black music have faint early forms of hip hop life

My biggest wish on the IC is for that dude to comeback who was spitting knowledge about hip hop roots in the delmarva region back in the late 50s-early 60s. There has never been a post that stymied me such as that one.

Breakdancing and Pop Locking spreaded out of the south. pop locking was a technique used by african men in the circus to exhibit their abilities to contort and shape bend out of tight spaces chains. It was mastered in California in the 1960s. Same thing with graffiti on walls and public places. Southern California blacks was doing graffiti in the 50s
