being real with it..especially blacks of the american variety..so unnecessarily violent..and dont come in here saying oh its just few ...its amazing how the few number so damn much when it comes to violent and general ignorant behavior..

you go out to a typical "black night" and this is the behavior that is the norm..others can get rowdy and still have a relatively non-violent night..but whenever blacks congregate in one place violence is DEFINITELY gonna pop off..
Lets be honest the stereotypes exist for a reason.... and its true you can deny it all you want its true....our propensity for ignorance and violence is just something else..

    I say this shit all the time. The super duper pro black afrocentrics will come in here and argue it, but really, I can understand why some non-blacks think the way they do. When I get on the metro and see young blacks acting stupid for no reason, I start to see how we're all seen.

    I can't be mad at them for that because when I see some white people do dumb shit, I pretty much associate that with them as a group too. We all do it. Only the hypocrites and liars tend to believe it's just everyone else.

    Some of you don't seem to understand that there really aren't that many black people in this country. We're less than 13% of the population. Yeah, as black people we all know a lot and have a fair sampling to make a statement about. So it's easy for us determine that not all blacks are bad. However, if you're of another group and don't purposely congregate with blacks, you're not going to necessarily have that same insight.

    And it kills me how people on this site whine about blacks being judged by the actions of a few as if ya'll don't do the same thing to everyone else. If one white or hispanic or asian says something racist or hateful towards blacks then they all hate us. That's par for the course on this forum, but that's ok?

    lemme tell you one thing thats common anywhere black folks are congregated together..it could be a town , anything else..Higher violence rate and various other savage behaviors than other communities....fact..

    especially in the US where opportunities are so abound to NOT be that way...

    we love love love to find way to excuse the ignorance amongst us by dismissing it..whenever someone calls it out the tired excuse "its just a few" comes up.....it really isnt...ignorance is the NORM amongst our group of ppl...lets start facing facts and figure out ways to move past it..

    im black and i can draw from the other positive side of blackness..but if i wasnt black and i was just drawing conclusion based on what i see/observe around me..or through the media..i wouldnt have a positive impression of black folks AT ALL..

    Some of you guys are missing the point. I'm not saying that all blacks are savages, and I don't think the TC is either. We're saying that if you look at how a lot of black choose to represent themselves and then consider what effect that has on people who may not have the wealth of experience with blacks of all kinds like we do, it can be understandable why some think we are all savage. Let's be real, you guys can throw out the media as much as you want, but blacks do a pretty good job of misrepresenting themselves all by themselves.

    Like I said, black people don't make up that much of the population. There is a large segment of this country that gets most of it's exposure from TV and yeah the news does pass the agenda to make us look bad. But if you think part of the perception doesn't also come from the athletes and rappers and other high profile entertainers that plaster themselves over tv representing thuggishness and ignorance, you're kidding yourself.

    Edit: Ok I take it back, maybe TC is trying to insinuate blacks are intrinsically more violent or something. I'm not though.

    I honestly can't say that's true. I don't watch the news much because it is BS, but when I did in the past, it ain't like I never saw reports about violence in poor white communities. I did, just not at the same frequency. Now was that because there was more violence in the black communities, because the media had an agenda, or some mixture of the two. I don't know.

    Seen it in hood and non-hood spots. Hell, I seen a dude stomped and shot at a club in Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill is a small college town that doesn't even have a hood. It just happened to be the one black club in the town.

    Also in Chapel Hill, they had this little festival called Apple Chill. Shit got shut down for good the last year I was there because in recent years blacks added there own little flavor to it and had a bike show in the evening. The year they did that, there were like 5 times as many fights. The next year there was a stabbing. The next year there was a shooting. That was the last year. They cut it out after that. Now keep in mind, this is something they had been doing for like 20 years before the bike show started without any major incident. The black run bike show starts and within 3 years the city is forced to stop the whole thing. Well I should say the considered stopping it, I don't know if they had it the next year or not because I was gone.

    Again, I'm not trying to say all blacks are savages I know for a fact that's not true, but I just can't cosign this idea that all things are equal when it comes to violence. I grew around nothing but blacks, lived in areas that were mostly white for school, and now live in a relatively mixed area. The only time I ever experienced violence regularly was coming up in the black area. And the thing is, I didn't even live in the hood. I lived in a pretty decent black suburb.
