Where Jalen Rose fucked up is in how he tried to just throw it out there w/o backing up the story first...for all he knew Skip Bayless could have been hurt his senior year of some shit...because now w/ the article with Skip's former teammates saying he could have avg. much more if he had transferred and been a starter on any other team it makes Jalen's comment look bad from an analyst perspective...he's right in that there's a line that shouldn't be crossed, but athlete's today can be sensitive as fuck..somebody said it on air today...you criticize Jordan, he drops 50 on you the next night...you criticize an athlete today they complain to the same media they say is hurting their feelings...

No I think it was the fact that he claimed it via a Twitter post as some sort of 'proof' that he knew what it was talking about when it came to Russell Westbrook's shooting. You should read his whole series of tweets for context.

It's only now that he's trying to divorce himself from it.

Skip did get sonned TO AN EXTENT here. Like dude said earlier...in our eyes he never had any sports background in the first place. So he was never looked at as having credibility as an ex player.

First Take is far from the best show on ESPN, Around the Horn and PTI are easily better. Second, why should players go on First Take on Skips platform to only benefit him. That's like Westbrook inviting Skip to play one on one. ESPN ain't fucking slick, they do that dumb shit to drum up ratings with that over the top shit. It's like arguing with an irrational woman, there is no winning or budging.

Maybe PTI, not around the horn. People look forward to some episodes of First Take. Tebow loses, people tune in to see what Skip'll say. Lebron misses a buzzer beater people wanna hear Skip. People were waitin to see Jalen bring up Skip's stats. People aren't waitin for Around the Horn like that

I honestly don't think he brought his HS career up to try and stir up anything. I think he believed no one would care enough to research his entire HS career so much so that he threw it out there to try and add validity to his RW 'point guard' arguments.

The tone of his tweets don't support this as some sort of intentional 'leak' to stir up anything. Just watch his reaction(obviously emotional) for proof

I think the reaction against Skip here is largely because he caught mad feelings because Jalen ethered him on that 1.4 point thing. Its like he can dish it out but he can't take it?

I mean he was going above and beyond to defend himself getting all emotional, while he does this on a regular basis to other athletes with no ounce of fucks given to what they feel about the names.

Thats what I *think* its about though, could be wrong.
