Can we now name Common a top 5 MC

I feel like Common has been consistently underrated in his career, as he is often passed over when people discuss top 5 MCs of all time. I know its all opinion but surely he should be part of the popular conversation.

I feel that not many MC have more than 1 classic album, but I deff feel Common has 3 at the very least. Hes very consistent with his LPs

Top 10 or maybe top 15....regardless, son has always been nice and his mainstream success never deterred him from his hip hop roots...I remember a few yrs ago Common was killing a show and then started breaking onstage....you could never challenge son on his love of hip hop, and he's one of the few that could freestyle off the top unlike faggots like Drake that gotta spit shit off his blackberry like its a teleprompter...Common gets my utmost respect

Hell naw... Common can't flow over a beat to save his life. When that nigga rap it sounds like he's reading out of a book and having problems with some of the words.

Commons flow is terrible and always has been.

But the crazy part is... he actually thinks that he's dope. LOL

Top 20 to me. Super dope rapper but for some reason his music doesnt standout too much to be that high imo. Wouldnt argue with anyone who did tho. Its a respectable opinion.

Common always been the most consistent rapper. Out of all the modern legends every album he put out was at least a 4 star out of 5 with the exception of Electric Circus.

Name any other MC and I bet they got at least 3 albums they should've kept. Only thing wrong with Common is that he never got that white boy appeal so he never got the push he really deserved.

I could see him being in people's personal top5 (he's definitely in mine), but as of right now I would say he's a solidified top 10.

He has classic albums, classic verses, longevity, skills, impact, creativity, he's an excellent performer (best I've seen live) and he's battle-tested (flawless victories).

Me and my homeboy was having a convo about Common not too long ago and I always felt that Common was a top 5 rapper, IMO he has the best catalog in rap next to Nas...yes I think Common's catalog is better than Jay-Z's...and what make matters worse Nas and Common is about to do an album together so that's another classic album on the way
