The Tupac Energy...Good or Bad for HipHop?

Tupac season again, the Hologram set it off.

Earlier this week C-Bo called out Snoop & Dre and called them vultures because they performed with the Hologram, other rappers called it tasteless and blood-sucking while fans day-dreamed about deceased rappers coming back to perform.

Many greedy execs rubbed their hands together at the thought of the new value in a dead artists catalog after the success of the cochella performance and the buzz surrounding Tupac....

The energy is strong, they playing Tupac songs everywhere I even put him 3 songs deep on my own playlist but:

with the Tupac energy theres always the negativity that comes with it, the bitterness over his death and the controversy over who is responsible is an issue that's debated and argued from the corner-store to the Twitterverse, characters from every angle on every side bombarding the air with theories and conspiracies. Drama.

Tupac's energy is strong but at this point in the game is it more positive or negative looking at the big picture.

Its cool for a one time tribute but now I hear dre thinkin bout takin the hologram on tour.

They scrapped Nate Dogg's hologram at the last minute cuz it was all about money, they knew pac would be a way bigger deal.

The new rumor is that there will be a tour with the Nate Dogg & Tupac hologram.

People on Twitter said Diddy tried to kill the Tupac-Hologram by pulling his cord out the socket.

I think its a way for execs to make money.Its also a great injustice because the same people who surrounded Pac's life with media scandals and character assassainations are the same ones ressurecting his image to pimp it for money.

This is a fine example of a modern rome ritual where the people build a icon up(Fame) only to tear him down(Death) and then build him up again.I am disappointed with afeni,this is morally unacceptable after these feds killed your son and nearly killed you,that you surrender your son's image to be exploited like this

Pac's energy=SOUL..Hip Hop is lacking serious soul and substance..however you see they didnt bring out the hologram to perform "Changes" or "Keep your head up"..Whitey brought it out to perform Pac's negative death row era music.Its clearly a agenda here.Controllers of the media network have immortalized Pac's thug image in our heads.They took a talented young man with a voice and a undisciplined mouth and burned it into our heads while trying to extract the soul and revolutionary messages in his songs..THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THE REAL,ONLY THE FAKE!

The real question that should be asked here is, IS ASAP,YCMB,MMG's superficial drug music agenda good for hip hop?

As much as we may nod our heads to the beats and hooks,theres obviously something wrong when every other song is about drugs and sex..Why do they allow a audience to throw cocaine and weed onstage at a rap concert?

Travistock institute is at it again,changing the tones of our music and pushing a hippy drug culture thru these artists.Just like they did when the beatles and jimi hendrix came out

The hologram doesn't bother me if it was a one-time stunt.

But if it becomes a 2pac puppet for some exec to make money off then fuck that.

I don't trust his image in someone elses hands like that. We've already seen a posthumous Pac album done wrong, you really wanna see how they handle a tour?

It's unfair to pigeon-hole YMCMB/MMG as superficial drug music because Drake, Nicki, Wale, Stalley don't even do the drug-rap in addition to many other artists on those labels.

Drugs & Sex will always be popular in rap music because Drugs & Sex are the main ingredient for the party and these artists make music to party to, music to parlay to.

Asap got the 40oz YMCMB got Mascatto & MMG got Ciroc, everybody smoke weed but you can't call it Hippy culture until you start seeing psychedelic drugs and hardcore drugs being promoted.

We got artists in the mainstream that are offering you positive artists on their rosters as an alternative but you ignore their efforts.
