    Big >>> Nas & Jay-Z

Big had 2 albums and only 4 years roughly to leave his impact. Nas been in the game over 20 years and lets not talk about some of his album duds.....

this thread is about technical rhyming, which nas and jay(and many others) are better at than biggie. biggie just had flow that brought out his rhymes better.

off topic though how is hypnotize potent? biggie isn't really a potent lyricist to be honest. he's very overrated lyrically/technically.

he is overrated lyrically, and by that i mean how well worded and potent his lyrics are.
he's also overrated technically, by that i mean how his rhyme patterns. niggas always shit on pac for not being super technical when biggie isn't that much better than him, and he gets praised like he's g-rap/pun level advanced.lol

Dead @ that being basic but biggie rapping from the perspective of a std riddled female is what was hot in 94/95 huh bruh?

Word cuz ready 2 die wasnt the hottest album in 94/95 but you wouldn't know that cuz you were 2 years old blowin chunccs on your bib/face and playin with tonka truccs/barbie dollhouses

Through the lights cameras and action, glamouExplainr glitters and gold
I unfold the scroll, plant seeds to stampede the globe
When I'm deceased, by then the beast arise like yeast
To conquer peace leaving savages to roam in the streets
Live on the run, police paying me to give in my gun
Trick my wisdom with the system that imprisoned my son
Smoke a gold leaf I hold heat, nonchalantly
I'm raunchy, the things I do is real it never haunts me
While, funny style niggas roll in the pile
Rooster heads profile on a bus to Riker's Isle
Holding weed inside they pussy with they minds on the pretty things in life
Props is a true thug's wife
It's like a cycle, niggas come home, some'll go in
Do a bullet, come back, do the same shit again
From the womb to the tomb, presume the unpredictable
Guns salute life, rapidly, that's the ritual

Lol @ this basic bullshit being lyricism Biggie on unbelievable bodies this verse and this is regarded as one of nasir's greatest verses

Again just cuz you don't understand him dont mean that he nice

to be honest, that deja vu is more potent than anything biggie has ever dropped. comparing it to unbelievable would be stupid because that was just a go hard song. compare unbelievable to "understanding" and watch big get blown away in terms of technical rhyming. he's not all that. it's not just nas thats better though, there are many others. people letting big's flow overrate his lyrics.

Lets just agree to disagree on this subject ,big flow has nothin to do with his bars

Son switched his style up on notorious thugs and had an all time great verse LYRICALLY

quote these great lyrics from notorious thugs. again, big's flow making his lyrics sound way better than they are. overall they were biggie's typical average lyics.

but back to the topic. there's nothing to agree or disagree about. Nas is technically a better rhymer than big. this is a fact that can be proven. so are az, g-rap, pun, jay-z, eminem, rakim, common, etc.

    Overall, Nas>Biggie.

Biggie 94-97 and Nas 94-97 are neck and neck imo. Biggie had the better singles e.g. Get Money and One More Chance (Remix), but Nas had better guest features e.g. Verbal Intercourse and Eye For an Eye.

    Illmatic>RTD.

    LAD>IWW.

Both are among my all-time favorite rappers.

    Lender:
"Picture life as my wife, just think/ full length mink, fat X and O links"-Biggie.

    Borrower:
"Picture life as my wife, just think/ full length sable, seven carats in your navel"-Nas.

    Lender:
"Old school, new school, need to learn though/ I burn baby burn like Disco Inferno"-Biggie.

    Borrower:
"Nah, i'm tryna kick the shit ya need to learn though/ that Ether, the shit that make ya soul burn slow"-Nas.

    Lender:
"On the road to riches and diamond rings/ real niggas do real things"-Biggie.

    Borrower:
"On the road to riches and diamond rings/ In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is the king"-Nas.
